Vehicle Detail
This is a VERY SOLID 70 Roadrunner that came with a 3 speed manual trans. It is a 2 door post coupe. It has good floors and framerails [surface rust only, I cant see any perforations]. The quarters could be saved but I would probably replace them, The wheelhouses are solid. The trunk floor and dropoffs should be replaced. The corners of the rear window would need a small patch. This is not a car with a bunch of hidden rust. It was probably an original Cali car as evidenced by the blue plates. That is why the underneath is still solid. It has an HP 383 in it now but I don't believe it is original to the car. Someone installed an auto trans and 2 barrel intake, but the factory manual shift tower is still present and unaltered. There is a 3 speed manual in the trunk but it is not the original trans for the car. Hood is not very good. Original fender tag is present and I will try to add decoding info later. Radiator support would need straightened at the bottom. Not running, needs restoration. This car is starting at a very low price with no reserve and will sell! Starting price is less than what some Satellites sell for so why do a clone when you can have a real RR? Clear California title on Non-op. Comes with 1970 era blue California plates. This car is an excellent starting point for a show restoration or a modified driver. NO RESERVE! Added info: This car has an unusual combination of options. Very few were built like this! Here's the fender tag decoded according to Galen's book: E63 - 383 High- Perf engine D13 -3 speed floor shift RM21 - Roadrunner 2door sedan NOE -383 HP 1970 Los Angeles plant FJ5 - Sublime color H2X9 - high trim vinyl bench black A24 - build date A87 - RR decor J25 - 3 speed wipers M21 - driprail moldings N41 - dual exhaust N95 - Calif emissions N97 - noise reduction/ Calif V8W - transverse sport stripe/ white Y14 - sold car It's pretty clear from the tag info that this is an original California car. Original colors are sublime with a white stripe. This would be a very attractive car restored!
