Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 383 big block, with an automatic 727 trans. 4 barrel 650 edelbrock carb with vacuum secondaries, basically what you see is what you get, this car is in good condition and my definition of good is that it is not show room and it is not great, on the same token it is not fair and it is not bad. It has it's problems like any car or anything that is 45 years old, it runs and drives good and with no major problems other than some little electrical issues such as horn, radio, and instrument cluster gauges don't work, the electric is all there just never cared enough about that little stuff to worry about it. For all the originality people out there, this car is a cruiser and nothing more, the motor is original but the manual trans was removed and long gone, I had the car painted flat black for the maintenance aspect of cruising, if you drive alot and get a chip or scratch in a premier paint job you will be dumping money into it everytime it gets touched but with flat black you need not worry about those things, you just get in turn the key and cruise. The mags are cragars with some pitting in the chrome, still look decent enough to roll with, the bumpers are rechromed and look brand new like they came straight off the factory line. All the glass is there and is good and all the windows roll down like they should. The driver door panel is a bit rough as you can see from my one picture, the floors and the trunk are solid with no rust holes, the frame is solid with minor surface rust, overall the car is very solid. The car has seen some body work over the years but that would be expected with it's age, also on that note any body work that has been done looks good all around the lines on the car are as straight as they can be, and again like I said it makes one hell of a car if you just want to float around town with it or if you want a toy to work on and drive around. Basically thats exactly what I owned it for was to mess around in the garage with it and drive it around town. Please feel free to ask any and all questions i will try and answer them to the best of my knowledge. This will be a NO RESERVE auction, so good luck! And lastly I am selling this car locally and reserve the right to end the listing early if the car sells. Thank you!On May-22-11 at 19:22:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I also forgot that I have a car cover for it and an extra set of steel wheels and tires. On May-23-11 at 02:42:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention it has exhaust headers and a true dual exhaust system 2 or 3 inch, the mileage has been exempt since I've ownered it for the last 3 years, so for the mileage of the car your guess is as good as mine. The heads were rebuilt about 4 years ago and have only seen maybe 5k, the engine sounds as though it might have a bigger loped cam in it, but I have never heard a 383 with headers before I've owned this car and it might just be factory. On May-23-11 at 16:17:38 PDT, seller added the following information: So I jumped the gun in assuming the motor was original, I decoded the VIN and it was an original 318 4 speed car, sorry about all the added posts. I am just trying to be as up front about the car that I can!
