Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1955 Ford 2-door Victoria hardtop. I bought this from a friend of mine (Pat) a month ago, he sold the building it was stored at and it had to go. It has been in a garage on a shelf for the last 43 years. This was Pats' high school car in 1962-64, in 64 he converted it to a A/G car with a 10% setback 406 tri-power and a top loader 4-speed, he installed a 9" housing and a Model A front axle with Econoline springs and old Ford steering. The car has plexiglass side windows and a real "Bomber" seat. The seat belts are dated 1954 and 1964. He had the famous "Teddy Z" ( Bill Hines nephew) radius the rear wheelwells and paint it the new Mustang color "Poppy Red" in 1964. The car has a complete aluminum interior with a 3 point roll bar, 10,000 Sun tach with 3 Stewart Warner B&W gauges. I was lucky enough to get the original 1964 M&H 10.50 X 15 "Pie Crusts" and they are in very good condition with only small cracks in the tread area. The car has NO engine, trans or center section, ready for your driveline. The front brakes were removed to run spindle mount mags and I have the original parts that go with the car. I have a 10 to 1 .030 over 390 (1961) with the 1964 large port heads and a tri-power intake and all new parts available, ($1500.00) I also found the original 4-speed trans that he sold to a friend in 1967, and it can be had also! The 3 piece fiberglass front end tilts or removes. The car ran a Moon tank and at one time it had a blown SB Chevy with Hilborn two port. The car never was run this way, Pat said he needed a place to store the engine, after he blew up the 406. I saw this car run at Detroit Dragway in 1966 and teched behind Pat (before I knew him). I have the clean title, it was issued in 1962. I have included photos of it being removed from the shelf where it sat since 1968 and some photos of it in 1967. I just had the Dearborn Michigan plate restored and will post a photo of it late in the week. This is a Rare opportunity to own a "Original" gasser with a lot of Detroit history, there may be a Hot Rod Deluxe article in a upcoming Mag, "The Gasser on a Shelf" has been getting a lot of attention! 99 out of 100 gassers were Chevys or Willys, everybody had a Chevy gasser, this Ford is Rare!! This will have to be towed away but I will work with the buyer to help arrange delivery.Any questions call Clyde 734-658-1052
