For your consideration is a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible.I'm helping my brother list this car to help create space in his garage for a newer Beetle,which unfortunately for him, his 17 year old daughter is going to drive.The car is located in the NW suburbs of Chicago and may be viewed with prior arrangements made.I will gladly pass on his phone number upon request.I will pass on the facts of this Beetle as I received them.Car has not been driven in 4 years.Only rained on once since restoration(New Paint Job)Always been garage kept.Stock 1600 Pea Shooter Automatic which shifts fine(only two pedals down there)Engine is actually a 71(He was told)with 138,000 miles.Engine leaks some from pan,I'm guessing either case or valve covers.Runs great for a while,but when engine warms up, gets too much gas and floods the carb.Interior is a custom kit from Sewfine,really sharp.Tires are good.New brakes,fuel pump,carb,floor pans,gas tank.I have receipts for the work done that I will share.Original convertible top needs to be replaced,but metal structure and back glass window are nice shape.Top folds up and down just fine.Radio has a cassette player,but not much to brag about.Car comes also with the followingSuper Beetle two piece tow bar(2"ball)Wolfsburg Super Beetle Winter cover and compact summer cover.Spare Tire with jackVW Type 1 service manualCar is definitly a head turner and I'm sure if my brother was more mechanically inclined He'd keep it,but thats not the case.Car is being sold as is,where is,so please ask any questions before bidding.Please remember your bidding to buy,not come out and look at car after end of auction.My brother has set a very fair reserve on car and the auction will run its course to be fair to all bidders.A $500.00 non fundable Paypal or cash in person deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end.Balance due in cash or Paypal within 7 days.Shipping your responsibility.
