There were only 15,000 of the M roadsters built between 1998 and 2002 and this includes production for both North American and European markets. There are many differences between the standard Z3 and the M roadsters. A few including a much more powerful 3.2 L engine with 240 HP and 236 foot pound of torque with 4 valves per cylinder. The M uses the ZF type C5 speed manual gearbox and has the E36M3 4 wheel ventilated disc brakes both front & rear. The M has 7.5 X17 in. wheels in the front and 9 X17in. rear. The body has wide fenders and dual exhaust.There are many differences between the standard Z3 and the M.The M is the top of the line and is very rare. Our M roadster is in very good condition. It starts, runs and drives like a new car.The paint has a rare green M Z3 roadster.One adult owner. This vehicle is fully-loaded.Very clean interior! Very smooth ride! This is a adult one-owner car has never been driven winters. The M roadster’s suspension is made up of MacPherson struts in the front and semi-trailing arms in the rear. However, compared to the six-cylinder Z3 roadster, the M roadster has the following modifications: Wider front and rear tracks (by 0.4 inches) reduced ride height (by 1.1 inches) Modified front suspension geometry, firmer springs and shocks, thicker anti-roll bars, stronger semi-trailing arms and reinforced subframe. All M roadsters use the same size tires (225/45ZR17 in the front and 245/40ZR17 in the rear) mounted on the five-spoke "M RoadStar" alloy wheel. Both are sized 7.5x17-inch (front) and 9x17-inch (rear) featuring a Chromeline finish With M Logo. The interior of the M roadster features several unique items including a chrome-ringed instrument cluster with red needles and the M logo, three auxiliary chrome-ringed gauges in the center console, power and heated sport seats with special pleated leather trim (monotone black or two-tone), a 375 mm three-spoke M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, an illuminated M leather shift knob with the M logo on the shift pattern and a chrome boot surround, an oval-shaped rear-view mirror, leather door pulls and center console trim, chrome inside door handles, and door sill plates with the "M" logo. The interior of all M roadsters are essentially identical. In the main cluster, the North American models have a 160 mph / 260 km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a redline graduated between 6,500 and 7,000 rpm to reflect the S52 engine's variable redline.
