Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1952 Ford F1 pickup. It's a project but mechanically sound.Starts and drives, has brakes, all glass, with only the passengers wing window cracked.Has some rust around the windshield and some through the fenders, but the floors are sound and the cab corners are solid. It's got new exhaust pipes and mufflers. The interior has the original seat and the upholstery is pretty good .The glove compartment door and ashtray and speaker grille have been chrome plated. It's got the original heater still in place though it's been bypassed it seems to be in good shape. It's got a B&M ratchet shifter that works and needs adjustment but catches all the gears. The trans is good the motor numbers come up as an 84 Mustang 5.0,it has the original 2bbl. carb. and is pretty much stock. It has a new battery and a new electric fan. It's an original California black plate vehicle. It hasn't been registered since '97 so to register in Ca. you'd need to pay the back fees and penalties. The title is lost but I've been to DMV with it and have the forms to sell it so it can be registered in any state. As you can see it's an ideal rat rod project and not too far away from being on the road.If you've got any questions or need more info or photos.please feel free to hit me up. On May-24-11 at 22:25:20 PDT, seller added the following information:I'm sorry to all of you who have posted questions about the truck. After reviewing the paperwork on the truck the truck IS actually a 1951.I have done most of the necessary bodywork and sprayed a couple of coats of primer.I'll post new photos tomorrow. As far as the truck being a daily driver,it's not now at that point, but not too far.The voltage regulator needs to be installed and some wiring still needs to be connected. The wiring is connected to the headlights but needs to be connected to the switch. The brakes work and are adequate to stop the truck. The electric fan needs to be installed. The motor runs good no smoke or leaks the trans is good also. The shifter hits all the gears but needs to be wiggled and shook, probably needs adjustment.I've got a back bumper, but these trucks usually get a rolled pan.The past due DMV fees are nearly $700 so this is a good one for out of state. The floors are good.It had a couple of holes through a couple of the fenders but not bad considering it's 60 years old.I'm gonna post the new photos tomorrow.I'm willing to maybe do some of the work on the truck, but I'd rather sell it as is.It need a lot of finishing touches, but a few hours of labor will get it driveable,8 or 10 hours by someone who knows what they're doing and you'll be driving.Anyway,I'll post new photos in the A.M.On May-25-11 at 11:17:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a coupla photos this morning.I still have a little body work and primer to do.I could'nt make all the changes to the ad I wanted.I may cancel this auction and relist.
