Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1996 Honda Accord EX Coupe. In February my son slid it into a snow drift and did some damage to the front bumper and fenders. It also broke out the turn signal lenses. The car also needs some other work to make it nice again. So I would consider this vehicle a light Project vehicle. It does run and drives but will needs some light body and mechanical work to allow it to pass inspection. The good news is that it has a solid running VTEC engine with a lot of life left in it. The transmission is also in great condition because it was rebuilt when it had 123K miles on the car. So there is now 50K miles on the rebuilt transmission. I have all documentation and warranties from the rebuild. Even in the cars current condition Kelly Blue Book says its private seller value is $2,200. The Buy it now is priced well below the KBB value and the opening NO RESERVE price even lower. My son purchased another car so we no longer have a need for this car or the time to address the issues. In the link below I have included many close up pictures to see any defects or imperfections. http://s1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa358/go4itbid/ Here's a list of the known issues: - Front bumper, fender, and light/lense has damage (damage has not affected any of the frame) - Dings and scratches can be found on the vehicle at several locations (see pics in link) - Carbon fiber hood has fading from the sun and should be painted - Hood latch sticks in the open position after opening (this is a common problem with Hondas, need a screw driver to reset it after opening) - Interior carpet should probably be replaced and parts of the door panels and the steering wheel are rough as well. - could use a nice set of seat covers. - check engine light is on (local parts store say it needs some sensor behind and above the fuel injection system) - leaks some power steering fluid (not sure if its the line or the pump) Car has a nice performance exhaust system, cold air intake, custom tail lights, and many other upgrades. None of the issues above alone are very serious, but there are several items that needs to be addressed. Price is adjusted accordingly. If buy it now is used a replacement oem steering wheel as well as the oem headlights and etc. will be included with the car. Car could be driven away, but I would recommend towing the vehicle due to the issues mentioned above, especially with the inoperatable turn signals. Except for the deposit payment is expected using cash when the vehicle is picked up. If your are a PA Resident then we will need to use a local notary to complete the title transfer. Vehicle is sold as is where is. Happy Bidding!
