Vehicle Detail
Was a beautiful car, until the hail hit. I was fixing this car up for my wife, and had basically finished the body, seats, floor mats and turbos, then came the hail while I was out of town. Goodies; HKS Front Mount Intercooler 3" turbo back exhaust. Turbo Timer Viper 2 way paging alarm with auto start and one fob. Otherwise stock vehicle. The good; Excellent Front Seats New floor mats Euro Glass Headlights Mechanically sound (CEL just popped on and the code is for secondary 02 sensor. I have ordered a new sensor from Toyota and it will be in on Monday. Goes with car) Stock twins were replaced with 70k mile units ~5k miles ago The bad: Needs secondary 02 sensor changed OD light flashes sometimes (simple fix on mkiv.com for this) Suspension is crap. This thing is slammed, and punishes you for driving it. The front tires rub the inner plastic in a hard turn, but do not rub otherwise) A/C pressure switch not working. If you jumper the connector under the hood the a/c blows ice cold Dash panels are rough shape. The PO had stuff mounted everywhere on them, and did a horrible paint job. They need to be sanded back down and repainted, or replaced. Minimal parts needed to not drive a golf ball, but still wont be perfect; Windshield (cracked by a pillar, does not interfere with vision) Targa Hood (was new oem toyota prior to hail storm) The targa and the hood took the brunt of the damage. I think the majority of the other panels could most likely be addressed by pdr, but I am not a body man. I took pictures of the affected area the best I could, but it was raining, and they may not show all the damage. i will be traveling this week so these are all the pictures that will be available. I hate to let it go, but I have four other supras that did not sustain body damage in the storm (garaged), and I am moving out of state. If it doesn't go I suppose it is off to the body shop. This thing would be a great way to get into an expensive, sought after car that you could drive while you fix it, for minimal cost. This thing will drive wherever you would like to go without issue. Kenwood stereo, ppi amp and 98 steering wheel will be removed from the car at time of sale. I can throw in a stock stereo if the new owner wants to put the factory system back in. I do not know if the stock amp is in there or not. Questions? Call me 314-809-2928 Car has new stem seals, timing belt, and waterpump. I forgot to add that the car is for sale locally so I reserve to remove the auction if it sells. Thanks.
