In 1987 they were called Sprint, and the model for this car was the Sprint Turbo , it was a top of the line car , with fuel injection, intercooler and turbocharger and a air kit and recarro seats, In other words a dressed up Sprint, more power with adequate gas mileage only a lot more sporty and fun to drive. This car was purchased from a seller in in Seattle, Washington. He was selling cars for a business and I found the car in the classifieds. . So I did not meet the previous owner. This car does not have an infinity odometer and I cannot verify the miles on the car. This car has passed the Washington State Vehicle Inspection Report # 9343406 for emission Check. This test is the last year that one required as the car is now old enough that it is exempt in Washington State. This means the engine and exhaust system are in conformance with the Department of Ecology for clean running engine. It idles at correct rpm and is a pass on the emission .. The tester gets in the car and does a roller moving test at low speed in gear, puts a test probe in the exhaust and opens up the gas cap and plugs the car into a computer and makes a visual inspection of the muffler. The tires are a year old and have less than 1000 miles on them. The tires are speed rated V and are NEXEN 175 by 13 tires on Enke mags. The battery was purchased on 2-10-2010 for $79.65 and I have the receipt. Stock wheels were made of steel and were very small 12 inch diameter. The larger tire profile is correct so the speedometer is accurate with the larger diameter tires. The car has a upgrade to the turbo boost with a HKS dial up boost bleed off valve, that takes the nominal 6.1 psi increase up to constant of 9.9 psi with a surge at gas on, and gives the car more power and torque. The car has a boost gauge mounted to the driver’s side at the window post. The stereo is an upgrade with CD player and improved speakers that were installed in the factory locations so no holes have been cut into the door interior panels. With the turbo bleed off valve and the 13 inch tires at 9.9 psi the car is a little faster, if you want gas mileage you dial the boost back down to stock.
