Vehicle Detail
Hi Ford enthusiasts....Recently I picked up this 1956 small window F100.....I found this in the deep desert of Hesperia CA. . It has been there under a carport for over 30 years according to previous owner!!!!... I was AMAZED when I found this beauty...It has virtually no rust(Cancer) ...I have restored 2 of these in the past to show circuit condition and this one is by far the cleanest I have found and I am picky about what I was going to be putting over $80K into...Top rain gutter over windshield is awesome, just a small spot over passenger(see pics) and a little under bed rails where it meets stake holder holes....Thats it! (other than the usual surface rust where paint/primer wore away.)Cab corners all clean and look great inside and out(tapped hard, scraped and nothing found ,ran magnets and they stick hard) the bondo on it is where emblems were over holes and a little on front fender(I took fender off to inspect and cant even see the crease inside, so it was very minor whatever it was. Hood needs a little help but can be saved for sure(a little wavy and a small crack)Truck is very straight. Even has the original paint showing through(the aqua color) . Floors are perfect. Doors are perfect, inner fenders perfect. Dash is awesome with exception where someone installed a radio, what amazed me most is the cowl vent below winshield.PERFECT!!!!(see pics)..those are usually the first to go...rear fenders are great, one running board has a crack that can be welded and needs slight straightening, the other is perfect The entire truck is stock(except motor and trans) have all pieces but seat. All glass needs replacing. The wheels are 14" front and 15" rear original Daisy mags that are in great condition if you still want to use them. The motor is a 1960-1962 352 Big Block and trans is a T10 4 speed Top Loader.(Motor is not running and I assume needs a rebuild) Stock radiator.have 2 grills and heater core and fan .Dont have original window cranks, mirror and inside door handles. The truck needs a complete restoration but is an awesome base to start with. You will be able to use all sheetmetal. It is a California truck made at the San Jose CA. plant. I have the pink(title) from 1967 that was signed over. I cant say enough about how nice this truck is for a restoration, unfortunately I need the room in my garage to finish my 56 Chevy and wouldnt be able to get to this one for at least another 2 years even if I did have a place to put it. I know im going to kick myself in the butt 2 years from now for selling but I really need my garage back........Please feel free to call mewith any questions and I will be happy to answer them...(909)721-0445. Happy Ebay-ing and thanks for looking!!!!!
