QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL 973-482-0028 1987 MB 190D W201 2.5L 5CYL TURBO DIESEL AUTOMATIC RARE COLOR COMBO BLOCK WARMER GREAT MPG CLEAN TITLE VERY LOW RESERVE DONT MISS THIS ONE Here up for auction we have this little rare 1987 Mercedes 190D powered by Mercedes bulletproof 5cyl 2.5L turbo diesel, I am a huge Mercedes and vw diesel lover and I have owned dozens of 300d, sd’s, sdl’s and newer e-class diesels with this being only my second 190d my first was a 1992 190d that I had a few years ago and I loved it. I found this car about a month ago, a good friend of mine tipped me that a older gentlemen had it parked in his garage since 2008 and was looking to part with it I went down and as soon as I saw it was mine. I took it to my shop and put a jump box and it fired up instantly. I put a new battery in it and took it straight to the detail shop. The exterior of this Benz is in very good shape for its age, yes it has the normal scratches and wear and very little rust but it’s everything you should expect from a 24 year old car. Overall the car stands out very nice I love driving it and the rare vents in the passengers side fender makes the car look even rarer that was only offered in the turbo diesel models. Take a look at the almost 50 detailed pictures below. The interior is in great shape for its age, normal wear / tears but once again its 24 years old. The driver’s seat has a light tear as it can be seen in the picture and the dash has some cracks also pictured, the passenger, rear seats and complete carpet is in great shape. One thing I personally like it’s the rare ebony interior as these older Benz were common to come with tan or blue interior. Rare 2.5L 5ylinder turbo diesel engine, it fires up instantly and sounds very nice, a low 211,5XX miles witch is nothing for this well built engine I have owned them with 500,000 miles and they runs great all of course with proper maintenance. This Benz has little to no smoke at strart up and no blow by a very nice sign of a well maintained engine. I do not have any maintenance records with the car I wish I did but unfortunately I don’t. Automatic transmission shifts all gears nicely, when I purchased the car it was sitting for a few years when I first drove it the gears were a little sluggish, I then replaced the transmission fluid and the car has been driving very nice for the past 200 miles. Power windows and sunroof, all the windows function properly with the exception of the driver’s side rear. Tires are in good shape but were standing for almost 3 years some dry areas but they all hold air nicely. The odometer and Speedo clock properly the reason I mention this is because these older Benz were common on the Speedo going inop after a while but not this one this one works great.
