Vehicle Detail

I bought this truck five years ago from an 83 year old man who had owned this truck since 1963. It is a southern truck so has never been in salt. It has a new white oak bed with stainless rails. As you can see, it is my "rolling billboard" for our ice cream and coffee business. The decals will come off with no damage to the paint. The paint is base coat/clear. Even though I did not put the emblems and hood ornaments back on after the wrap. I have all those items to go with the truck. In the '70's the previous owner put an Olds Cutlass Supreme engine in it, along with an automatic transmission. He drove it every day until he turned 80 and just couldn't steer it anymore. (It does not have power steering) He parked it in his garage for the next three years until I bought it. It started right up and ran up onto the car hauler when I bought it. That summer I took it apart and restored it. The engine runs very well and quiet and uses no oil. This 1955 Ford F-100 is a great running truck and drives down the road nicely! Since I rebuilt this truck it has always been indoors so the wood is just like brand new. I re-coat it with spar varnish every year. It is garage kept and never gets rained on. The interior is mostly original. I left it alone because I wanted my grandkids to think of it as "Grandpa's old truck". It needs a new seat and a head liner. The dash and door panels were painted when the truck was re-painted. The floor is solid. The undercarriage, frame and bed are very solid as well. Lots of new parts including a new fuel pump. It was changed over from a generator to an alternator system just this year, so that whole system is new. I did not take this truck back to show room condition because I wanted to drive it and use it in my business. Every week end it sits out in front of my shop in Chattanooga and people use it as a photo op. This truck is ready to take to the next level...now or 20 years from now. It is a solid, great running truck! ********************************************************************************************************************** Seller reserves the right not to sell to any bidder with 0 or negative feedback or to any bidder for any reason.
