1989 Porsche 911 Steel Slantnose Turbo Cabriolet. 5 Speed. A Rare Car to come on the market. 930 Model 5 Speed Manual Transmission 3.3 L H6MPl 3.3-Ltr, Flat 6-Cyl, 5-Spd Std, Continuous F.I Bosch K-Jetronic Yr 89 Model 911 Turbo Induction k-jet 0-60 in 5.0 Horsepower 282w trq 289w top speed 155 wt 3055 Original Low Mileage- 59,876 The black paint, black convertible top, glass, interior, black leather seats,carpet,AM/FM all in great condition. Everything works gauges etc. The paint is beautiful, there are no nicks, dings, dents. There is no rust. There are no leaks. The undercarriage is excellent. It starts, runs and handles well, has a ton of power. It has been well maintained. Since we purchased it in 03,it has been mostly stored, driven a total of about 2,500 miles We have kept the Porsche exactly as we purchased it. We have not tricked it out or modified it.All the original labels, plates, and vins are intact.Inside the hood is a German option label .This is not a Factory Steel Slantnose, but most probably a dealer installed optioned Steel Slantnose. It is a Factory Turbo,5 Speed. The German manufacturing label for the options is intact inside the hood. The steel slantnose hood, all other modifications had to be ordered from the factory in Germany. It is difficult to tell the difference between an original factory Slant, dealer installed option, or a quality after- market conversion. This is an excellent conversion on a magnificant machine. Porsche's top-- range model for entire production duration ,was the fastest production car available in Germany. In order to make the most of the higher power output,a revised suspension, larger brakes and stronger gearbox added. "Whale -Tail" rear Spoiler installed to vent more air to engine, create more downforce at rear of vehicle.and wider rear wheels Flared wheelarches added to increase 911's width ,grip, making it more stable. These 911s are the best ever produced. consistently complemented on how well they're built and drive. In the early to mid 80's the Porsche Classic restoration workshop (near Stuttgart) Germany offered a "Flachbau" ("slantnose") 930 under Sonderwunschprogramm" (special order) program , an otherwise normal 930 with a 935-style slantnose instead of the normal 911 front end. Each Flachbau unit was handcrafted by remodelling the front fenders. So few were built that the slantnose units often commanded a high premium over sticker, adding to the fact that they required a premium of up to 60 percent over the standard price. After -Market- Companies quickly got hold of this design and began converting regular 911's to the slant nose form. In 1987 Porsche followed up with a new option, the "Turbo slant nose modification," priced at staggering $24,000. For the 1988 model year the slant-nose became a production model but only on the Turbo. The Turbo slant nose package delivered a new front "clip" comprising the now familiar Flachbau slant nose with flip-up headlamps surmounted by washboard louvers, plus wide 935 type back wheelarches with grilled, forward facing rectangular air scoops and extended rocker panels reminiscent of running boards. Porsche discontinued the 930 model after model year 1989 . Only in 1989, its last year of production, was the 930 equipped with a five-speed gearbox. . The 1989 models featuring the five-speed transmission are the most sought-after of the early Porsche 911 Turbo.
