Vehicle Detail

1996 Mustang Saleen #56 100% true Saleen clone with VIN stamped ID badges First off, let me say that this AWESOME Saleen has a rebuilt title. What that means is that the car was in an accident where the cost of the repairs on the vehicle were valued at or above 70% of the total market value of the car. If that deters you, then I don't want to waste any more of your time reading the rest of this very long ad. It didn't bother me. I'm so glad I bought it as I have loved every second of owning this beauty. Infact, I am NOT a motivated seller. I don't 'need' to sell this vehicle. The only reason I am selling it is because I bought a Corvette. This car just doesn't get much use anymore. I plan on using the money I get for this car to go toward the payments on the vette. If I don't sell it, then that's cool with me. I'll keep it and drive it occasionally, but it'll mostly just sit and collect dust. I used this car as a daily driver for 5+ years. I only recently stopped driving it due to buying the vette. I still take it out every now and then and it gives me no trouble whatsoever. This car is a 100% true Saleen clone. That means that it has EVERYTHING done to it that Saleen does to these cars. It even has the VIN stamped Saleen ID badges that aren’t available...and YES all of the numbers on the ID badges match the VIN on the car!!! One is located on the firewall and one is on the shifter bezel. It is impossible to tell the difference unless you call up Saleen and have them run the VIN number. I have over $11,000 invested in this car in parts alone. NOT including the $5000 paint job OR the labor to install the parts!!!! I think my price is more than fair:) History: I bought this car bone stock, minus cold air intake, on October 8, 2005. It was already repaired, titled, inspected, and was used as a daily driver. The car had 68,719 miles on it when I bought it and I drove it 9 hours home with no problems whatsoever. Engine and Modifications: This car currently has 103K miles on it with the original engine and transmission. Don't even ask me what the quarter mile times are I HAVE NO IDEA AND HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO THE DRAGSTRIP. I don't drag race or beat on my cars. Occasionally I'll let it loose but there is a big difference between going WOT and beating on it. There are no error codes or dummy lights that come up. This car passes, and has passed, emissions at the local Ford Dealership with flying colors every time. This car puts down 414 RWHP and 400 RWTQ. It has extensive modifications done to it. All of which were installed professionally at a Ford dealership by ASE Certified technicians. This car has a 100% extremely safe dyno tune installed. Infact, I've driven with this current setup for over 3 years now!!! Vortech V2 Supercharger (8lbs boost) $3800 Air-to-air Intercooler (3" pipes) $250 SVO Ford Motorsport Heads (The one's everybody wants) $1900 Comp Cams Xtreme Energy XE268H Cams $600 Comp Cams Valve Springs $200 Trick Flow Upper Intake Plenum $100 Ford "PI" Intake Manifold $200 Ford Lightning 90MM MAF Meter $85 Ford Racing 42lb Injectors $300 Ford Racing 75mm Throttle Body $180 BBK Long Tube Headers $450 BBK Catted X-Pipe $380 MAC Catback $330 Ford Racing Motorsport Clutch $180 Steeda Adjustable Clutch Cable $30 3:55 Gears $140 MGW Short Throw Shifter (The best on the market...period) $180 Chromemoly Tubular K Member and Control Arms $680 UPR Coilover Conversion (Front) Steeda Caster/Camber Plates $150 Saleen Sway Bar Kit $180 SCT XCalibrator II Programmer with custom dyno tune by Pro-Dyno $380 + $500 (www.pro-dyno.com) Interior: The interior has been upgraded with 2002 seats because the 96-98 Ford leather cracks and looks terrible. The center console has also been swapped due to me wanting cup holders. I have also installed the Saleen white faced gauge cluster, plus Air/Fuel and Boost gauges. This car also has an MGW shifter, it’s by far the best short throw shifter on the market...and the A/C blows ice cold! Exterior: This car has an authentic stamped Saleen body kit straight from the manufacturer. No cheap fiberglass. I have personally painted this car all over in August of 2007. I am the senior/head paint technician at a Ford dealership. This is my personal car so of course I'm going to do a good job:) I spent a long time taking this car apart to paint it. It's the only way to ensure a truely fantastic job. At that time I took all of the texture out of the cowl panel and the side mirrors. I painted the cowl black and the side mirrors the color of the car. These are now perfectly smooth and shiny. I also ordered black Saleen decals to match the red/black color scheme I was going with. Through the door this is valued at over $5000 worth work!!!! Suspension/Tires: I put the Saleen front sway bar kit on this car. It’s much bigger than the stock unit. I also installed a chromemoly tubular front end kit on the Saleen. The new K member shaved about 100lbs off the front end. The only drawback to the new suspension is that it has a rough feel to it and it’s a little louder then before. One of the BBK long tube headers also rubs the k member a little as seen in the pictures. Check the video of the K member progress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9BgeBw4MDk The tires have plenty of tread left on them. The fronts are Nexen 3000 265 35/18 and the rear are BRAND NEW Pirelli PNero 275 40/18 (Cost me $400). Payment/Shipping: The final winning price is due exactly 1 week (7 days) from the auction close date. You must contact me within 48 hours of the auction end and let me know how you wish to pay for this vehicle. I accept PayPal, cash, or certified bank checks only. Do not bring me a certified check and expect to immediately drive this vehicle off. Your payment WILL clear the bank BEFORE I sign over the title or release the car. I have the title in hand and ready to sign over. You are responsible for shipping this vehicle. I will assist you or your transport company of choice in any way I can. You may also drive this vehicle home if you wish. I drove this car 9 hours back home when I bought it. You will need to get plates and insurance first if you wish to do this though. I have represented this vehicle as accurately and fully as possible. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask away. Thanks for viewing!!
