HELLO EVERYONE, I LIKE TO START BY DESCRIBING MYSELF A LITTLE. I THINK AFTER READING IT, YOU WILL AGREE IT WAS BENEFICIAL AND IT WILL HELP YOUR CONFIDENCE AND TRUST ABOUT THE CONDITION AND QUALITY OF THE MOTORCYCLE. I AM STARTING THIS WAY SINCE TRUST IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR WHEN IT COMES TO EBAY. UNFORTUNATELY, IT SEEMS EVERYONE IS TRYING TO TAKE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING TODAY. I HAVE BEEN TAKEN BEFORE AND I DO NOT LIKE IT. I AM SURE NONE OF YOU LIKE IT EITHER! I DO NOT WANT TO EARN MONEY DISHONESTLY. I WANT YOU TO BE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH ME AND SEE MY INTEGRITY. THESE BIKES BRING GOOD, HARD EARNED MONEY, AND I DO NOT WANT ANYBODY TO BE MISLED ABOUT ANYTHING. I WORK WITH A FRIEND’S BUSINESS CALLED DJ’S CYCLES, SO I CAN SELL MORE THAN JUST A COUPLE OF MOTORCYCLES PER YEAR, AND I AM LEGALLY LICENSED TO SELL VEHICLES IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. I SOLD SOME EXCELLENT GL1500 GOLDWINGS LAST YEAR AND EACH BUYER WAS VERY HAPPY. UNLIKE MOST OTHER DEALERSHIPS ON EBAY, I DO NOT CHARGE ANY EXTRA HIDDEN FEES FOR PAPERWORK PROCESSING. MY FRIEND HAS BEEN A MOTORCYCLE MECHANIC FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS, SO HE IS EXCELLENT AT WORKING ON MOTORCYCLES AND IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. HE GOT HIS DEALERSHIP LICENSE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SELL SOMETHING IF THEY NEED TO. OTHER THAN THE MOTORCYCLES I SELL THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP , THERE ARE PROBABLY ONLY THREE OR FOUR OTHER VEHICLES SOLD PER YEAR. I EXPLAIN THIS BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE YOU TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT A LARGE DEALERSHIP PUSHING BIKES, THAT ARE MADE TO LOOK PRETTY, IN AND OUT OF THE DOORS. I AM A DEGREED MECHANICAL ENGINEER WHO IS EXTREMELY FUSSY AND PERFECTIONISTIC. THE BIKES I SELL ARE NOT ONES BROUGHT TO ME BY LOCAL PEOPLE. I SPEND HOURS A DAY SEARCHING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY FOR EXTREMELY NICE LOW MILEAGE BIKES THAT I COULD FEEL COMFORTABLE OWNING AND DRIVING. IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION AT ALL ABOUT THE CONDITION OF A BIKE, I WILL PASS AND LET SOMEONE ELSE BUY THEM. ALMOST ALL THE BIKES I BUY ARE FROM OLDER RETIRED FELLOWS, WHO TOOK FANTASTIC CARE OF THEIR BIKES, AND JUST CANNOT RIDE ANYMORE DUE TO HEALTH. BASICALLY, I USE THE SAME GUIDELINES ANY OF US WOULD USE TO FIND AN OUTSTANDING MOTORCYCLE. TO ADD TO YOUR CONFIDENCE, I USUALLY FLY OUT TO THE BIKE AND DRIVE IT HOME. THIS CAN SHOW YOU A LITTLE OF THE CONFIDENCE I HAVE IN THESE BIKES. BELIEVE ME, I DO NOT WANT TO BE STRANDED ANYWHERE. I SELL MOTORCYLES TO HELP SUPPORT MY WIFE AND FIVE CHILDREN. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GORGEOUS PEARL MERCED GREEN SE (SPECIAL EDITION TOP OF THE LINE) GOLDWING, THAT IS METICUOUSLY CARED FOR, THIS IS A VERY NICE ONE TO THINK ABOUT. THIS WAS A BIKE CARED FOR BY AN OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO PASSED AWAY. HIS WIDOW CALLED IT THE GOLDWING HARLET SINCE THE MAN FAWNED OVER IT SOO MUCH. IT WAS HIS PRIDE AND JOY. IT HAD ALWAYS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE. THE BIKE IS FANTASTIC. IT HAS CLOSE TO FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS IN EXTRAS AND CHROME. THE PEARL GREEN PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL. THE PAINT IS EXCELLENT AND SHINY. THERE ARE A FEW NICKS WITH TWO BEING ON THE LEFT SADDLE BAG COVER. ONE IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PEA AND WITH THE TOUCH UP PAINT IT IS NOT VERY NOTICABLE. MUST OF BUMPED SOMETHING. THE OTHER SCUFF ON THAT COVER IS ON THE DECAL BUT IS VERY SMALL. THIS DECAL IS THE TWO TONE COLOR AND EASILY REPLACEABLE. THERE ARE A FEW LITTLE ROCK CHIPS LIKE THE SIZE OF A MATCH HEAD. THE LEFT MIRROR HAS A FEW SCRATCHES FROM BUMPING SOMETHING, BUT, WITH THE CHROME MIRROR ACCENTS, THEY ARE HARD TO NOTICE. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES, THE PAINT IS VERY NICE AND WAS ALWAYS WELL WAXED AND SHINED. IT IS A VERY SHARP LOOKING BIKE. THE PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL AND I HOPE YOU CAN SEE THE FINISH IN THE PICTURES. I TRY VERY HARD TO TAKE GOOD PICTURES. THERE IS QUITE A BIT OF CHROME AND THIS REFLECTS SUN IN THE PICTURES, SO DO NOT THINK THE REFLECTIONS ARE BLEMISHES. I ALWAYS LOVED THIS COLOR. I CALL IT THE COLOR OF MONEY. THE CAMERA HAS DIFFICULTY PICKING UP THE TRUE HUE. THERE ARE NO OIL LEAKS. THE CHROME IS VERY CLEAN AND SHINY. THE SEAT IS PERFECT AND HAS A COMPARTMENT IN THE BACK OF THE PASSENGER THAT YOU CAN UNZIP AND PULL A RAIN COVER OUT FOR THE SEAT. THE RIDE IS EXCELLENT. WHEN YOU RIDE IT – IT FEELS LIKE A DREAM. THE PLASTIC IS VERY NICE. THE LITTLE COVER BEHIND THE FORK ON TOP OF THE FRONT FENDER IS CHROMED SINCE THE ORIGINAL COLOR MATCH ONE MUST HAVE BLOWN OFF. I NEVER EVEN NOTICED THIS UNTIL DAYS AFTER I HAD THE BIKE HOME BECAUSE IT BLENDS SO WELL. THE BIKE COMES STOCK WITH REVERSE AND ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE YOU CAN IMAGINE - AND MAYBE MORE. ONE OF THE NICEST ADD ONS OF THE BIKE IS THE LANDING GEAR. I WAS NOT SURE IF I WOULD LIKE THIS OPTION, BUT WHEN I DROVE IT I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. IT IS SWEET AND VERY STABLE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE OLDER TO ENJOY THIS. YOU CAN BE LAZY AND TOOL AROUND IN PARKING LOTS TURNING ON A DIME. IT WORKS BELOW 15 MPH. YOU HAVE TWO LIGHTS NEXT TO THE KEY. IF YOU ARE STOPPED OR GOING UNDER 15 MPH, YOU JUST PUSH THE RED BUTTON UNDER THE LEFT HANDLE BAR AND THE GEAR EXTENDS. THE YELLOW LIGHT STAYS ON UNTIL THE BIKE GOES FASTER THAN 15 MPH AND THEN, IF THE GEAR IS DOWN, IT AUTOMATICALLY RETRACTS. VERY NEAT. IF THE RED LIGHT IS ON THAT MEANS THE GEAR IS DOWN. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW STABLE THE BIKE WAS EVEN WHILE TURNING AS TIGHT AS I COULD IN MY DRIVEWAY. YOU WILL LOVE IT AND IT GETS LOTS OF ATTENTION AND IT REALLY ADDS TO THE SAFETY OF THE BIKE IF YOU HAVE A HARD TIME KEEPING UP A HEAVY BIKE. AS YOU CAN SEE THE BIKE HAS SOME VERY NICE AFTER MARKET CHROME ACCENTS. THESE REALLY MAKE A NICE CONTRAST WITH THE PEARL GREEN PAINT. IN TOTAL THE ADDED EXTRAS INCLUDE: PASSENGER ARM RESTS FOR ADDED COMFORT SO YOUR WIFE DOES NOT HAVE TO HOLD HER ARMS UP ON LONG TRIPS, A NEAT BATTERY VOLTAGE METER, LCD THERMOMETER, REAR MUD FLAP, CHROME LUGGAGE RACK, AIR WINGS FOR LETTING COOL AIR IN ON HOT DAYS AND KEEPING COLD AIR OUT ON COOL DAYS, FRONT CHROME MUD FLAP, SIX LIGHTS SURROUNDING THE LICENSE PLATE (THE WIRES YOU SEE WHERE THE PLATE GOES ARE COVERED UP BY THE LICENSE PLATE), THE BAG REFLECTORS ARE CONVERTED TO LIGHTS, AND LASTLY IS HAS A LIGHTED REAR COLOR MATCHED SPOILER. BESIDES THE AD ONS, THE SE HAS ADJUSTABLE PASSENGER FLOORBOARDS THAT RAISE OR LOWER. THESE ARE NICE SO THE PASSENGER CAN HAVE A LITTLE VARIETY. THE BIKE’S WINDSHIELD IS VENTED AND VERY CLEAR. I TRIED TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE BIKE WITH THE LIGHTS ON. IT HAS NEAT PURPLE RUNNING LIGHTS IN THE FRONT. IT LOOKS GREAT AND YOU ARE VERY VISIBLE AT NIGHT. THE INTERCOM ON GOLDWINGS ARE INTEGRATED INTO THE RADIO SOUND SYSTEM. THE INTERCOM, WHICH IS VOICE ACTIVATED, IS GREAT FOR THE DRIVER TO TALK BACK AND FORTH WITH THE PASSENGER, AND WHEN YOU STOP TALKING YOU AGAIN HEAR THE RADIO THROUGH YOUR HELMET SPEAKERS. WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON (LOCATED ON THE RADIO), YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE RADIO THROUGH THE SPEAKERS ON THE BIKE. ON THE GOLDWING, THE RADIO VOLUME LESSENS AS THE BIKE SLOWS DOWN. THIS IS NICE SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN DOWN THE RADIO WHEN YOU COME TO AN INTERSECTION. THE RADIO IS AN AM/FM CASSETTE. THE BIKE CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH A 40 CHANNEL CB AND FULL FUNCTION CRUISE CONTROL. IT ALSO HAS AN ONBOARD AIR COMPRESSOR. WHEN YOU PUSH THE R. PRESSURE BUTTON, YOU CAN ADJUST THE BIKE'S RIDE QUALITY BY CHANGING THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE REAR SUSPENSION. WITH THE OUTLET BUTTON PUSHED, YOU CAN USE AN AUXILLARY AIR HOSE TO PUMP UP TIRES OR THE FRONT AIR SUSPENSION. EXTREMELY NICE OPTION IF YOU SHOULD EVER GET A FLAT TIRE. ON A GOLDWING WHEN THE REAR BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED THE FRONT BRAKE IS PARTIALLY ENGAGED, ALSO. IF YOU WANT ONLY FRONT BRAKES THEN YOU USE THE HANDLE BAR LEVER. THE BIKE WAS ALWAYS REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND THE OIL CHANGED. THE TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE FRONT HAS LOW MILEAGE AND THE REAR SHOULD BE GOOD FOR THEE TO FOUR THOUSAND MILES. BRAKES ARE GOOD. THIS IS ALSO REALLY NICE FOR MOVING THE BIKE AROUND, LIKE IN YOUR GARAGE IN THE WINTER, SINCE YOU CAN PUSH HARD AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BALANCING THE BIKE.
