Here's a car that's sure to make someone money or a fantastic deal for a weekend mechanic with some time on their hands who wants to drive a really nice Lexus. We purchased this car from a friend out of New York. This 1995 Lexus ES300 comes with a solid engine and transmission and all working options. It will however need a headgasket. WE ARE NOT a repair facility and so we don't have the time to put in so our loss is your gain. The car was being driven everyday until a few months ago when it began to smoke and so after it was diagnosed that it needed a head gasket the owner didn't want to put the money into it. The transmission shifted smoothly and there is no sign (although I can not guarantee) of any warped or bent valves. Really all this car needs is some TLC and a headgasket and she'll be good to go!The Lexus is in really good shape overall. Sure, it could use a detail but that's minor. It belonged to a non-smoking Harvard Grad (the decal on the back is free) doesn't show that much wear for being 16 years old. The only real exterior cosmetic flaws is that the center piece for the rear rim and the gas cover are missing. Other than that no dents, no real dings, it's pretty nice. The interior has nice leather and although it could use a detail there aren't any rips or tears on the inside. All of the power locks, windows, mirrors, and sunroof are working fine. The radio works but it is intermittent. The AC blew cold and the heat worked fine as well. You can tell that the car was well taken care of. The tires are ok but are by no means new. Again, with a good detail this car should come up great. Overall, this is a NO RESERVE auction and it will be sold to the highest bidder. All it needs is a head gasket and you should be good to go. The job is pretty much an all labor job so it would be a good weekend project for a mechanic or for someone who resells cars and has the time to do the job. This car should retail for anywhere between $3000-$3500 so there's a lot of money to be made here. It will need to be towed and the buyer is responsible for transportation. Moneys accepted will be Cashier's Check, Money Order, Cash, or PayPal. A $200 deposit is required at the end of the auction.
