I am offering for sale my 1972 Porsche 911t Targa. 104k original miles, i have owned this car for 11 years now, and i just dont drive it anymore. I have put 5,000 miles on this car since i bought it in 2000, This car comes from the factory without air conditioning. This is a correct matching numbers vehicle. Engine serial number: 6121910 Transmission code: 915-12 History: The guy i bought this car from owned it for 12 years and performed serious mechanical upgrades including: s model pistons and cylinders O(compression ratio changed from 7.5 to 1 over to 8.5 to 1) , e model cams chains with ramps, weber 401da3c carburetors, the original fuchs wheels were changed to 16inch fuchs wheels. momo steering wheel and shift knob, and short shift throw kit, ssi heat exchanger. The factory fuel injection was removed and was meticulously put into boxes and is complete, all parts are included with the purchase of the car. One of the original fuchs wheels has been retained as a spare and has been fitted with a brand new tire that has never hit the road. Alterations: I have spent nearly 5k having the interior reupholstered to the original factory patterns/ specs. 13 piece carpet/ seat covers, the targa top was mailed off to a specialist for rebuild/reupholstering, new carpet was also put in the front trunk area. The car was originally painted aubergine, it was then painted silver and then red. The only place this is evident is a section on the bottom side of the hood. There is slight rust blistering on both front fenders lower section behind the front wheels. there is also a small paint flake missing near he back window. Also the fabric has been slightly torn on the drivers side door seal. viewable on the link provided at the bottom of the listing. Upgrades: I have installed a single 12 volt battery in place of two 6 volt batteries. I left the cables in place should someone want to go back to factory specs. There has also been a kenwood alarm system installed with a remote key fob to activate/ de-activate the alarm. I have also installed an aftermarket twin amp blaupunkt cd/stereo with remote along with MBQUARTI speakers in the doors and boston accoustic 6x9 speakers in the back. the front speaker amp has failed and no longer functions. The horn on this vehicle stopped working 2 years ago and at the same time the vehicle developed a voltage drain problem where the battery dies after 2 days of non use. I believe that these two issues are related. Extras included with purchase: Factory owners manual, repair manual, bra, NIB oil filter MAHLE brand, and one NIB spare wheel center cap, NIB engine drive belt. Factoy jack and lug wrench. I trust this car, delivery is optional within reason, I have no fear of driving this vehicle several states away, it is a dependable car.
