1981 Honda CM400T

Up for sale is my 1981 Honda CM400T with just over 3,300 original miles. Everything about this bike is excellent...paint, seat, chrome etc. It even comes with the original owners manual, tool kit and a spare key. It runs great and starts 1st time every time with no stalls...good power. You will find cheaper CM400's but typically with high miles and a list of needs...this bike needs nothing. I have been using this to commute back & forth to work this spring with no issues. Gets around 50 mpg! Good tires, brakes & a new battery. All electricals work. Like the Honda CB's this is an easy bike to find parts for should you ever need it. I had intended to turn this into a cafe racer, but couldn't do it...the bike is too nice in its original form. It is also listed locally and will be until the reserve price is reached. In the interest of full disclosure, there are a couple small dings in the fuel tank, very minor pitting here & there and it has a slight hesitation around 4,000 rpm but only when cold and starting out, but nothing that will slow you down in the least. For a 30 year old bike in its original, untouched state, this is hard to beat. This would make an excellent starter bike or for someone looking for a classic vintage cruiser that they don't need to sink $$$ into. Thanks for understanding.*** On May-06-11 at 11:49:01 PDT, seller added the following information: ***UPDATE*** I pulled out the title today getting ready to sell and noticed it says "not actual" next to the mileage. I did not notice it before so I went to the BMV to investigate. They indicated that Illinois title (the state I purchased it from) indicated "Mileage not necessary" due to the age of the bike. I'm told this is not unusual, but again, I want this to be a no surprises auction so I thought I would pass this along. The Indiana title is a clear/normal title, but the mileage will be listed as "not actual". Once you see the bike and hear it run, you'll be convinced (as I am) that the mileage is correct.
