Built from 1966 until 1993, only a few body and mechanical changes took place to keep these timeless cars up to date and competitive in the world market. True classics, these cars continue to gain further appreciation by car enthusiasts everywhere. In fact, Classic Motorsports magazine and Automobile magazine have both done recent articles sharing their appreciation for these outstanding convertibles as classic cars to pick up now before their values skyrocket! This lovely spider is a 1977 model, with great functioning SPICA mechanical fuel injection. The lines of the car are timeless without excessive spoilers, and it continues to draw attention as you are driving. The car has tan/brown vinyl seats that are in great condition, the rest of the interior is black and looks good with the exception of a couple of cracks in the dashboard. All the gauges work, and this outstanding spider is also economical getting over 30mpg. At some point the car was re-sprayed the black, and was done very well including the door jams- the only places the original color (Silver) is visible is under the trunk carpet and in the engine bay. And being from the state of California, this lovely Spider is RUST FREE. Though not shown in the photos, the vinyl soft top is brand new! Mechanically the car is very sound. It is very quick and pulls strong throughout the rev range. The transmission feels strong with no grinding, and clutch engages well about halfway. The brakes feel amazing with good biting power and don’t pull side to side or vibrate. Tires are in good shape all around, over 80% tread. The car drives smoothly at 70mph down the freeway. We recently represented our dealership driving the car in the 30th annual La Conner Tulip Rallye and had an absolute blast enjoying the sunshine with the top down and beautiful scenery along with over 300 classic and sports cars! Overall, a beautiful fun classic car that we’ve enjoyed and we know its new owner will treasure also!
