100% all-original, completely stock. My father bought this new as a 60th birthday present for my mother. She used it as her grocery-getter until October 2005 when she gave it to me. This car has been gently driven all its life and never, ever driven roughly. Up until Oct 2005 it was kept year-round in a garage that was heated in the winter, and was always serviced by-the-book at the local Mercedes dealership without fail. I would love to keep it but can’t justify having three cars! All service records are included, and the Owner's Manual has the dealership notations for all the scheduled maintenance up to its 55,000-mile service in 2005. It is presently past due for the factory-recommended 60,000-mile maintenance, but the oil and oil filter have consistently been replaced every three to four months even with very, very low mileage between changes. The old oil always comes out super clean. I've been running it just regularly and often enough to keep it healthy. No known mechanical issues. This car runs smooth and tight. Original black soft top is in excellent condition; it had never been used even once until 2006. Body and Anthracite Gray paint (original) are in excellent condition with the exception of: 1). rust spot inside front left tire jack receptacle (see close-up photo); 2). rust spot on right rear wheel well area (see close-up photo); and 3). three small paint issues on the trunk, shown in photos with the playing cards for scale reference. Dealership gave the car’s under-carriage a Zeibart coating before it was sold. Under-carriage was examined by a body shop in 2006 and no signs of rust or Zeibart coating failure were found. Under-carriage was examined again last year and no rust was found. Palamino (tan) interior is in near-perfect condition, with only one small tear on the side behind the driver’s seat under the hard-top/soft-top lock levers. This car has never been smoked in; it still smells like new. This car has never been in any sort of accident. Comes with top-of-the-line aftermarket sheepskin seat and headrest covers that are in excellent condition -- they feel great summer and winter. Air conditioning stopped working two summers ago. Original Becker radio and power antenna work. Cassette player two weeks ago decided it would only play cassettes backwards. New OEM battery. Comes with 4 Michelin Harmony tires that were purchased new and installed/balanced in June 2009. The tires have less than 1,000 gentle miles on them. Spare tire of unknown age with alloy wheel (“bundt cake” design), just like the other four. The finish on four of the alloy wheels are freckled where some wheel cleaner was not rinsed off soon enough. This minor cosmetic issue can easily be remedied with the right kind of paint. Like new custom-fit windshield interior sun shade to keep UV rays and heat out while you’re parked outside. Comes with custom-fit Sunbrella car cover with cable and little padlock to keep it from being blown away in high winds; hard/soft-top only cover; and, a very convenient top-down interior-only cover. Also comes with upright rack-on-wheels that securely holds hard top vertically for storage, and a protective cover for the hard top when in storage. Original, 100% complete OEM First Aid Kit, floor mats. All interior courtesy lights and trunk light have been replaced with plug-and-play super-bright white LED lights. If you’re a purist about being stock, these can easily be replaced with original-style quartz/tungsten light bulbs.
