Vehicle Detail

I just discovered after talking with a previous owner that the car was featured in an article in Mustang Illustrated. He provided the magazine cover shot... Thanks JD Up for your consideration is a 1970 Mustang Mach 1, California 428 Super Cobra Jet, Double “R” Code Drag Pack with factory toploader 4-speed documented by the Marti Report. The 428 SCJ is an older restoration that is in very good condition and is now occasionally driven and enjoyed. The car is a San Jose built, Calypso Coral, V-code (3.91) Drag Pack with 64,000 original miles. It spent its life in California until I bought the car in 2003 and brought it out east. The sheet metal, chrome, glass, rear deck spoiler, sport slats, sport deck rear seat, and interior trim less the carpet were all borne with the car. The car was repainted once with lacquer in the original color and the paint is in very good condition. There is a couple of very minor gravel chips on the lower front valance and one on the left front inner wheel-lip. The right rear trunk drop-off has been professionally patched because of a trunk seal leak. The black hood stripe and the rear deck spoiler are painted in the correct PPG High Performance black. The car has all the good stuff, the rare, expensive, and hard to find correct parts like the DOZF-9510-AA Holley 4-speed carburetor, dual point distributor (converted to a Petronix unit), shaker setup, speedometer adapter, and complete California evaporative emissions system. The 428 SCJ engine runs extremely strong and the transmission is tight and shifts flawlessly. The Marti Report is attached under the photo section and other documentation on the car is available as well. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to the car being advertised locally. The car is Sold As Is, Where Is with no warranties expressed, written, or implied. So please ask any questions before placing a bid and arrange to have the car inspected if possible.
