Welcome to Dipstick Motors and our very unusual auction of this Rare and desirable 1964 International C1100 Travelette. This is a Four door 4 Wheel drive truck in original condition. This truck boasts a 304 V8 engine with a 4 speed transmission. The condition of this Travelette is amazing. There is surface rust in different places on the truck. The odometer on this Travelette shows 65,107. I do not doubt this is the original mileage based on the condition of the truck and the information I was provided by the previous owner who was told the mileage is original. The original Line setting ticket (or factory build sheet) is with the truck. I have attached a photo so you can see the options.
The interior on this truck is complete with everything in place to the best of my knowledge. I am providing many photos of the truck, if there is something else you would like to see please ask. The seats need recovered. The door panels are in good condition. This truck has rubber floor mats. The headliner is in place and seems in good condition. Both passenger windows are cracked.
After removing the truck from storage, the fluids were checked prior to attempting to start it. The gas was drained and new gas put in. A tune up kit was installed and after putting a new battery in the truck it fired right up. It has dual exhaust, I do not know if it is original or not. I put a new master cylander on and the brakes now work. The clutch is free and allows the truck to be put in gear and moved. I will detail below what in my estimation the truck needs prior to being road ready.
The outside of this Travelette is extremely solid. There are a few dents but overall the truck is straight. The hood opens easily and stays open. The bed of the truck is solid and will hold water. (Yes, it does rain a lot in Oregon). There is heavy surface rust in places on the bed of the truck but the bed is very solid with no cancer.. The bed is in amazing condition with very few dents and much paint still on it.The tailgate is in great shape and closes securely.

The paint code on this Travelette is 902 White cap white.
The only heavy rust I have found is on the front of the cowel in an approximately 2 inch by 3 inch area, just under the hood. I am attaching photographs of the area. I do not think it has rusted through into the interior. The heater core is disconnected and I assume would need replaced.
As far as making the truck street ready. The brake pads need to be checked and the brakes bled. The valve cover gaskets need replaced as at least the passenger side is leaking. There was antifreeze in the truck during its storage. The cooling system should be cleaned and refilled. There do not appear to be any cooling leaks and no major oil leaks other than the valve cover. I do not know if the tires currently on the Truck would be road worthy for a long distance. They hold air and do not seem to leak. I also think the carb should be rebuilt or replaced.

Fee and Tax Information: All sales have a $55.00 dealer documentation fee. This fee covers the cost of overnight documents, administrative cost, insurance cost, dealer bond cost, and printing of documents.
Winning bid does not include tax or registration fees. Buyer is responsible for all local state, county, and city tax fees, as well as title / registration fees. Out of state buyers will be responsible for above fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.
Please have all of your permissions and finances in place prior to bidding. Any requests to cancel a transaction after the auction ends will require a $150.00 administrative fee. It is time consuming and costly to sell a vehicle. We understand that there are actual emergencies that do actually occur (an emergency is not failing to ask your wife or father for permission) and we will happily work with you if a true emergency exhists. Please do not be offended when we ask for documentation.
Who we are?
Dipstick Motors is the brainchild of my wife and I. Why Dipstick Motors? Because we take buying and selling good quality used cars seriously but not too much so. It’s a little whimsical but so are we. We wanted something catchy. Most people are going to remember it. If it doesn't have a dipstick, we won't sell it.
We both have real eight to five jobs but buying and selling used cars has been a desire of mine as long as I can remember. It started with foxbody Mustangs but has grown to any good quality used car. My wife’s desire? To clean anything she can get her hands on. Hmmm..............I can see where this could work out well for me and for you.
We are both long time Oregon residents with ties to public service. We have lived in the Turner area just outside of the capitol of Salem Oregon for a substantial amount of time. We are honest and credible people. We have no desire to mislead or overcharge. Longtime car people say we won’t make it in the car selling business. It is our desire to prove them wrong. We aren’t about smoke and mirrors just good used cars for a fair price. We welcome any questions about our cars and our business. Our business is run out of our 3 bay auto shop on our property.
OK now for the real details about us. Me-John, I’m a long-time car afficionado who loves to have a different car every month. As this can become quite expensive my wife encouraged me to follow my dream of buying and selling car. I love fox body Mustangs and finding different collectible cars used for law enforcement purposes. I try to get the best cars that I can because I believe people are interested in low mile good used cars. I plan on retiring October of 2011 and will take my dream and passion full time.
Her-my wife, Vanessa, willing to support anything I’m interested in. Good at doing all of the paperwork which a dealer is required to do. She’s a good rational mind to counteract my impulsive I want it now personality. Plus she's a great car detailer.

I do not know if the 4 wheel drive works. I can not turn the hubs by hand freely. I would assume the hubs will need to be rebuilt to work.
