Vehicle Detail
Normally I don't sell motorcycles, just BUY them. I really like this one,but as I get old and feeble I realize I'll never get to all my cool projects. Plus,I have to work 50 hrs a week! Darn!!! For your kind consideration today is a 63 Dream. It was my dream, now maybe can be your dream. The bike runs and rides, but I must be completely honest and say it will need some TLC from a skilled mechanic, which hopefully you are! I have cleaned the tank and carb, replaced points and condensor, and rebuilt the tank petcock so it won't leak. I got her running and blasted around my yard on it and to my dismay, noticed that sometimes it only will go in 3 of the gears.Once in a while all four, but not every time. Also the kicker will jam as if it has selected a gear while kick starting(or maybe two at once)so I am guessing that the selector mechanism will need some attention. When riding the bike pulls strong and doesn't blow any smoke,so I think the engine is fine. The guy I got it from had started trying to restore it,but lived in an apartment,so really didn't have a good place to work. He did however do a nice recover job on the seat and located most of the hard to find parts to complete the bike. If you look at the pix you will see the original horn, speedo, lights and what appear to be OE mufflers. The chrome is fair on the bike and would look a little better polished up. Definitely OK for a rider. I love the primitive cafe look of this bike, with the big squarish tank and the low seat. Honda's early bikes really have a cool look. If you go to any of the vintage bike shows the dreams always have sort of a cult following. I guess to some it is the iconic Japanese classic. I would love to keep this, but I reluctantly must thin the herd. I must also mention that the previous owner filled out the title, but never got it changed to his name. It's a Nebraska title and comes with the bike. You may have to use a title service if the DMV won't work with you on this. One final positive thing I must say is the frame and engine are matching numbers, very important if you plan on doing a concours restoration. So there you go, a beautiful classic bike If you have the skills and time you will have a great machine that will be the envy of all your friends and make women swoon when you rakishly roar by! "There goes so and so! His bike is just too cool! I think I love him!" Ok maybe I got a little carried away. Bid high and often my friends and please ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
