2002 Volkswagen Golf GLS TDI 40 mpg city / 50 mpg highway diesel 139,600 miles 5-speed manual transmission Moonroof, power windows, power locks Heated seats, premium audio, upgraded injectors, aluminum skid plate This Golf TDI is very clean, economical, and fun to drive. All maintenance and repairs have been done by myself or a local TDIClub "trusted mechanic". This is the GLS model with moonroof, velour seats, and power windows and door locks. Additionally it features the premium Monsoon sound system with cassette and single CD player and heated seats and mirrors. Modifications include upgraded PowerPlus 520 injectors, ARP head studs, aluminum skid plate (protects unside of engine from ground damage) and a few other cosmetic tweaks including GTI taillights. Full timing belt service was performed at 109,450 miles. The turbocharger was replaced about two years ago, last year the catalytic converter was replaced with a MagnaFlow diesel cat and the muffler was replaced with a straight pipe. (Not loud, original muffler still available.) Battery was also replaced last year. The front and rear brakes have just been changed (pads and rotors), new wiper blades installed, leaking vacuum pump seal and EGR valve have been replaced. Oil and filter were changed. The pump seal was replaced by a local trusted mechanic and he also gave the car a quick inspection, no remaining problems were found. Car has never been in a collision, all the body panels are original. Paint is in very good condition. There is typical wear for a car of this age and mileage, the only minor damage is a 1/2" spot near the driver's headlight and some creases/scratches on the driver's rear quarterpanels right near the door, as shown in the pictures. Absolutely no sign of perforating rust on any of the panels. Tires are Cooper Touring SLE 215/60R15 with a good amount of tread left. The car has never been smoked in. Interior is in great shape. No damage, just typical wear. Rubber winter "Monster Mats" are included.
