HI THERE THIS IS JUST TO CLEAR UP SOME OF THE QUESTIONSI HAVE BEEN RECEIVING: (1) the car is in my name, clear title and registeredin California until Jan. 2012 (2) the wagon runs great (3) the repairs I listed arejust to let the buyer be aware of what will be needed over time, the wagon drives just fine right now but OVER TIME or even now, if you want the wagon to be "perfect" these are the repairs needed to make that happen and the car can probably go for another195,000 miles. (4) If you did nothing, the wagon runs and it runs very well in myopinion I'd drive it anywhere just as it is. (5) Repair estimates: Transmission Serviced(99-150.) I was quoted buying a steering rack would run between 200-300. hi there I am selling a 1989 Volvo Wagon 240 DL. The vehicle is in great condition inside and out with a few minor scratches and dings,nothing major at all. The top of the roof has some peeling and fading butotherwise paint in really nice condition. The front seat has some rips and tears (can be covered with a sheepskin car seat cover as I have done) but all other seatsare in excellent condition. Fuel gauge is broken easy fix but all else is working. The interior is very clean just added new exhaust,fuel filter-the engine is in great condition. The tranny has a minor leak butmost likely only needing a gasket seal because the wagon shifts like a champ. Justsmogged in California and registration is good until Jan. 2012 So needs no smogif registered in california by June 2011. This volvo runs excellent.Comes with original roof rack, all original except for thesony cd player. Automatic. The hood towards the front is not sitting flush,other then the few issues mentioned the wagon is very nice. The wagonappears to be rust-free. UPDATE: The vehicle was inspected by a Volvo mechanic and to be 'PERFECT" work includes: steering rack, rear seal is starting toleak, transmission serviced, transmission tail shaft bushing and seal, fan belts. Allelse in my opinion is pretty minor. But the wagon runs very well in my opinion just as it is. This work can be made now or OVERTIME, but once again the wagon drives nicely just as it is.THE GOOD: the engine is issue-free. The vehicle is sold as-is so please ask questions.I am very honest and will tell you what I know about thevehicle. Great Wagon great on fuel!!!!
