Vehicle Detail

Here it is, people! A real, running, driving, solid survivor that you CAN afford. I am getting stationed in Europe for the next three years and my baby obviously cannot come with me, so I need to let her go to someone who will take care of her and continue her progress. Factory A/C from a 1960 Cadillac donor (installed, but not charged up) Virtually no rust anywhere aside from a couple of surface bubbles near the rear fender wells Titled and registered in the state of New Mexico just last month in my name and ready to go Previous owner rebuilt the engine and transmission - 1,400 miles fresh and road tested! around 60,000 original miles on body and chassis *actual mileage, but I need to verify before I give the exact number VIN: 59G005866 Now that I have your attention.. This car is located in Pecos, New Mexico (near Santa Fe) and is being stored by a good friend in his family's barn. It is covered and routinely driven. I bought this car from a man in southern New Mexico a little over a year ago and was hoping to soon have the car shipped to me to continue its progress until I received my orders to PCS to Germany. I am very attached to this car, but I cannot store it for three years, so regrettably, it has to go. The old man I bought it from was a collector and said that the car was in New Mexico for the all of its life as you can see by the lack of rust. This is also indicated on the title. It runs, drives, stops as it should. As you can see, the interior is in need of re-upholserting. I have gotten a few quotes, which range from $1,000 - $2,000, which included carpeting and headliner, just to give you an idea. There is a company that I was going to buy a full custom interior kit from, which you can install yourself and looks very professional. I had planned on doing the interior red, which is why the dash is painted this color. The steering wheel is from the '60 Cadillac donor as well as the seats. The seats are threadbare, but in decent recoverable condition. I believe the exhaust is custom and not original, but it looks nice, right? Not all the trim is on the car, but it is all there and it is driver quality. I never planned for this car to be show worthy, just an eye-catching driver. Paint will need to be redone at some point, obviously. The pictures speak for themselves, really. But, please let me know if you require anything specific. The car can be inspected and test driven at my friend's convenience and I will provide his contact information upon request if you are SERIOUSLY interested. Need it shipped? See below for detailed shipping dimensions and weight to start getting a quote. I find uship.com to be a great service for shipping old cars. Just make sure the shipper has good feedback before you accept his bid. Shipping is at your expense and you will need to organize this yourself. My friend will be available at time of pick up with advance notice. I am not looking for trades. PAYMENT: I will not accept Paypal for this transaction. A $500 deposit will secure this car at auction end and is due no later than 48 hours after, or I reserve the right to offer it to the next highest bidder or relist it all together (car is also for sale locally). Remaining balance is due within 7 working business days via a certified cashier's check. Car will not be available for shipment until funds have cleared my bank. Dimensions and Weight... I want everyone to be sure of what they are bidding on.
