I am selling my 1979 scout II. I bought this truck about 8 months ago with hopes to restore, but since have bought another scout and need to make room. I have lowered my reserve, it is 1,400 so if you want it, thats where you need to be. I have over 2,000 in this thing and it is well worth it. The truck does run, but is not driveable for a couple of reasons: there is a brake leak and there are no seats.There is also a small carb leak, but i will include a new diaphram and gasket for the carb, and I also have a new fuel filter for the truck.The motor is a 304 with 4 wheel drive, and it does run strong. The four wheel does work. It has power steering and power brakes, and an after market plastic gas tank. The truck would be a great start and would make a great project for somebody. There is a little amount of rust in the rear of the bed, but I do have replacement metal from super scout specialists. The only interior parts I have are the door handles, window cranks, cluster panel cover and dash pad which are in great shape. I have a scout ralley wheel that i purchased from ebay and i will include it also. I have taken off bumpers,tailgate, and exterior things such as lights, grill, turn signals, tail lights, etc. The truck could be ready for paint with little work. All the parts I have will be included with sale. The front fenders and rear quarter panels are in great shape and are rust free. New rocker panels and floor pans have been installed. It won't take much to get this thing on the road, or off the road! This thing is solid, barely any rust, compare it to other scouts for sale and you'll see that it's real nice for the price. This truck could be awesome with a little work and TLC. I do have it for sale locally and can end the auction at anytime if it sales. I will not ship, PICK UP ONLY!
