This auction is for one of the finest examples of a 1929 Chevrolet Express Pickup available anywhere. This is a complete frame off restoration of a rust free, all steel, original body, fenders and running boards. The only thing that was professionally fabricated was the express bed. There is no bondo in this truck anywhere. This was the first year for the Chevrolet 6 cylinder engine. It has a 4 speed transmission and runs and drives as nice as it did when new. The steering and suspension is perfect. The engine runs great. This all steel body is as nice as you will ever see. As you know the truck was probably originally sold as a cab and chassis then the customer added a flat bed, stake bed or in very few instances, the express bed you see on this truck. The floor in the bed is 1 inch white oak, trimmed in stainless steel and the fabrication of the bed to factory specifications is awesome. As you can see by the photos, the undercarriage is as nice as the rest of the truck. The brakes work perfectly, all of the lights work and all of the gauges work correctly. The glass, interior, wiring and wood structure in the cab are all new. It can be an awesome daily driver or a wonderful museum piece.
