1961 BMW R-Series

This auction is for a 1961 or 63 BMW R60 /2. I have been told that this is a 61 model by serial # but the owner told me it was a 63 so you be the judge. As you can see in the pictures this bike is completely original and has never been restored at all. The bike has been stored inside a butler building since the 70's and has not been on the road since then. Bike turns over with good compression but does not seem to be firing. The inside of gas tank still looks like new with the red oxide primer and no signs of rust at all. I drilled out the the side compartment lock to see what was inside and found an inspection receipt dated 11/25/67 with the owners name on it that I purchased it from. I have checked out the numbers, and motor, frame and front tag all have the matching serial number 624116. As you can see this bike will need to be restored but is very complete. Now for terms of sale. buyer agrees to send a $300.00 deposit and pay balance with in 10 days of close of auction. Buyer also agrees to arrange shipping and pick-up of bike.
