1966 Chevelle SS Project. 4 speed Muncie trans and 12 bolt rearend both included in this auction. The original color was Marina Blue. All of the glass is present. The cowl tag and the vin plate both show 13817. I bought this car just as you see it. At some point the paint was removed but the car wasn't primed and it has developed complete surface rust. The body is solid and could definately be restored. It does have some of the usual places that will need to be replaced but could be done using patch panels. I'll list the obvious ones that I would replace if I were to restore the car. The front driver and passenger floor boards will need to patch panels (where your feet would be if you were sitting in the front seats). Also someone cut out a big section to modify for a different transmission and I'll include a pic of this. The rest of the floor pan is good in my opinion. The trunk pan is good with the exception of the left side and will need a patch panel to make right. The interior is in the car but has some tears in the seats and the head liner is present but is sagging in a couple of places. As far as the exterior the car will need patch panels on both rear quarters as they have significant rot and had been covered up with bondo at some point. I would also have new panels installed on both front fenders between the tires and doors. The last thing that I know would have to be replaced is the hood as it is rusted through underneath where the hood hinges attatch. The SS hood inserts are good and could be used in the restoration. The frame of the car appeared to be in good condition from what I could see. I'll also include a pic of several misc. parts that come with the car. This is an auction and once the reserve is met the highest bidder will own it. What you see in the pics is what you get with the car. The car would need to be picked up within 7 days of the end of the auction and I'll require a $1000 deposit within 48 hours of auction end.
