Vehicle Detail
I listed this truck with a high reserve and it did not sell. I bought this one owner as a low mileage project truck with 111,000. The truck has less than one thousand miles on an automatic transmission that cost me me $2,500.00. I had the transmission rebuilt in Spokane Washington. I have the receipt. A local mechanic reinstalled the tranny and that is when I discovered that the odometer on my low mileage truck does not work. The speedometer works but the odometer is stuck on 111,000. The guy I bought it from says it busted recently. The rear crankshaft seal on the engine was replaced when the transmission was rebuilt. This truck does not drip oil when you park in the driveway. I had the engine fuel pump checked and adjusted. I am driving this truck and as things need attention I am having it repaired or replaced. This is the LE model with tilt wheel, cruise control, AC and power windows, door, and mirrors. Most everything works including the heater, the cruise, and the windows and doors. The headliner is tight and the dash is not cracked. The radio works. I can’t promise that the AC is good, been to cold to know for sure. The paint is good but the clear coat is peeling on the hood and top of cab. There is a small crack in the sheet-metal of the box next to the tailgate. I bought new carpet for the floor, but did not get it installed. The seat is good except for one small spot where the driver slides in and out. The pictures are not good but the truck is straight without rust or dents. The windshield is badly cracked. This is an Idaho truck and does not have any rust. The four wheel drive works good and the tires are 50%. I replaced the front drive line. Most everything works and the truck is complete. The truck is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. The Montana title is good and clear, and is in my name. I personally would give it a set of tires if I was going to drive it long distance. At some point you will need them anyway. Mechanically there is nothing wrong with the truck that would prevent you from driving it a long way home. I need to repeat that the truck does not have any rust outside or underneath, I will post more pictures if needed. If you buy the truck and need to let it set until you come for it, no problem. You buy, you pay, it can sit 6 months. If you can't pick it up in 6 months you probably don't need the truck. If you have any questions call me at Verizon 336-302-4842 Thanks for looking, Larry On Apr-12-11 at 06:25:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Need to sell this to fix my duramax. I dropped the reserve and Buy It Now price. On Apr-14-11 at 16:22:37 PDT, seller added the following information: The factory tab under the hood is a bit hard to read but the axle ratio is 3.5 something. It is not warm enough to tell just how well the AC works but it does cool and one line is hot and one line is cold. The cruise control does work.
