Vehicle Detail
Hi you are looking at a one of a kind 98 mitsubishi eclipse spyder. This car has a tiburon wide body kit on it. The body need some work to be in perfect shape. It has alot of cracking where the body parts have been attached. They used bondo and not fiberglass so it is cracking. It still looks great. The interior needs a little work. There is dried paint on the rear seat. The front driver door speaker cover is missing. I made one using mesh and painting it black. I replaced the original speakers with pioneer speakers. I put a touch screen cd player that sounds great.. The rest looks good. I have had a new windshield put in and replaced the convertable top motors. It works great now. I had the oil changed and the trans flushed and changed as well. I had a new harmonic balencer and belt put on. New upper tierod end installed and exhaust flex pipe. I replaced the mass air flow. New plugs and fuel filter so it runs great. There is no leaks at all. The engine light comes on and when scaned it is showing a code for the transmission. Had it looked at and it needs a silinoid or something to make it shift in drive on time? not sure. Might need rebuilding or replaced. It can be driven and will drive ok. It slips when going into drive. I drive it every day.Had the exhaust split in the rear and chrome tips put on to make it look better. I have the reciepts for the work done to the car in hand. This car is a nice car and gets a lot of looks. You will not find another eclipse like this one. The rims are 18" deep dish and the tires are like new (95%) tread easy. The top is ok but leaks some when it rains hard and could be replaced down the road. With some body work and a paint job this would be a killer car. This is a no reserve auction so high bid wins. I do have the right to end the auction at any time due to local sale. If you want feel free to come by and inspect the car in person. Thanks for looking and good luck. There is a $500 non refundable deposit. This covers me and the listing if you dont show. Good luck! You can drive the car away but its at your own risk. Car is sold as is and where is. Good luck to all! The transmission will need to be fixed or replaced soon!On Apr-11-11 at 16:21:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had alot of questions lately but here is my answer to the last one so you all might understand a little more. Well first off i bought it that way. If you read the listing you would realize that. I have owned the car one month. The car has sold twice. Once a 4000 by a 17 year old kid. Him and his dad came down from west virginia. Dad told him not to. Ok relisted. Man from texas bought it. He came up and decided he didn't want to take the chance on it not making the trip back so he didn'n buy it. Now its relisted again. I have it so low now its not funny. I have over 5000 into this car. Im tired of putting money into it. I drive the car every day. I changed the trans fluid a week and a half ago, Advance auto gave me the wrong trans fluid. It started to slip when going into drive. A week later i went back and bought fluid and kit again. Once again they gave me the wrong fluid. Two days later i found out and took it to have it all flushed out. $186 dollars later the right fluid is now in it and it helped some. I still drive it every day but it still slips going into drive. At low rpm it goes in fine at higher rpm's it slips. The top will need replacing. When it rains hard it leaks. The body is solid but if you want it perfect it will need sanding and fiberglassed so it want crack. Then repainted. So now that you know the history. Thank you for asking. I might have it sold here though. Good luck.
