Lifelong Texas and Oklahoma car. In approximately 1992 a Tulsa businessman purchased it and kept it until 2006 when it was donated to a charity and purchased by another Tulsa businessman. This owner installed tubular shocks, added dual exhaust, installed new trunk latches, a new starter bendix, pulled the radiator and had it checked and painted the car. No body repair was needed at the time of painting. I purchased it in 2007. In 1948 a new AB, 100 hp engine was installed at a Dallas dealership. The engine runs very smooth and does not smoke or rattle. I have added a new fuel pump, rear quarter window seal, Optima dry cell battery and aligned the front end. This is an all steel car, very solid, with no signs of previous rust or collision repair. It is very clean underneath. The exterior paint is Vineyard Green body with Black fenders. It was born with black paint. Vinyl top insert is in good condition. Interior upholstery shows well. Transmission and rear differential are believed original and operate as intended. It drives straight and front end is tight with no wobble. All window glass roll up and down and rear quarter windows open and close properly. During my ownership, it has been kept inside and driven occasionally. It has been shown at local car shows winning several trophies. It is in excellent condition except for these items: front windshield has slight discoloration around the edges, a small chip and the windshield seal has not been installed; the vinyl top insert should be appropriately caulked with a rubberized caulking.
