Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my well-used and never abused '85 FJ-60. I am the third owner, the second owner bought it and moved to Philly-No parking, so he had to sell it. I bought it in 20007, and have put about 17K miles on it. Its been in a barn for the last year and a half after the motor went. It has NO engine. It's got the standard rust on the rear wheel wells, worse on the passenger side, some rust on the passenger A- pillar, but nothing that couldn't be fixed w/o too much trouble. The rear inner wheel wells are $ 150 apiece from Cruiser parts. The driver seat has a swank flower cover , but is a little beat underneath. The other seats are in good shape. There is no carpet behind the rear seat. The windshield is starred significantly. The dash has a nice new cover in gray, looks pretty good. Gearbox shifted nicely in all 4 gears, reverse works nicely. Brakes worked nicely. Heat worked, AC was nice and cold. Steering was nice. It needed a new Gas tank. Those are $250 from Cruiser parts. I think the catalytic converter was toast , but in CT it's 25 years old and no longer requires emissions. The motor is out of the truck, but I just can't spend the time/$$$ on it . The head was a replacement and had good compression on all cylinders, the whole motor can fit in the back if you want it. I replaced the stereo w/ a nice Jensen Phase Linear CD/ with USB and a remote. Headliner is nice( no smoking owners), interior is generally good. the front outer door handles are sticky except for the drivers door which just broke. $15 apiece . Front bumper is missing end caps. Tires and rims are good, lots of tread . This is a great truck that needs a motor and some TLC to be a runner. I drove it 2 or 3 times a week in every season and it never let me down.
