1986 Honda Rebel 250 Cruiser GREAT BEGINNER BIKE Bike is in very good shape with low milage. Looks great and runs great. I don't think it's from being dropped as there are no marks on it. Most likely it is from the previous owner catching it on something while backing it up. (could probably be glued without being too noticable.) Some rust internal to the gas tank. (This is very common issue for the Rebel. It seems to be the only real gripe that owners have, via my research on the net. Be very wary if another seller does not mention this and make sure you check for yourself!!) When I noticed this, I installed an inline fuel filter which prevented any issues) Planned on resealing the tank at the end of the season but other projects took up my time. (notably the '71 Triumph w/sidecar in the background of one of the pictures) I picked this up for my girlfriend last year when she first got her motorcycle license. Best move we could have made. It is the perfect bike for a new rider. Very light with a low seat height makes for an enjoyable experience for someone just starting out. Whereas if we had tried to start with a larger bike, she may have been too intimidated to ride it and never have gotten through the initial learning phase. Now that she has built up a season's worth of experience and confidence, we've moved up to a Savage 650. The great thing about an older bike in this good shape is that it's already depreciated all that it is going to, so if you don't damage it, you can sell it for the same price when/if you want to get something bigger.
