I am listing this car for my father in law . He is downsizing , and this car is listed locally and in other sites so it may be pulled at any time . He used the car mainly to tow a 14 or 16 ft boat to canada which he can no longer do . 1984 buick electra estate wagon 5.0 L 4 Brl 172,000 miles ( actual ) Recently repainted and revinlyed Tow hitch The good things are the engine runs very good , it is a very plush and comfy ride . Interior is top of the line for the age , power windows , cruise , power seat , nice plush cloth seats , A/C . I think the A/C works I tried it and it seemed like it worked HOWEVER I can't say for sure all the parts are there it may just need a recharge . I haven't tried the cruise so I can't say if it works or not . The bad is the power door locks unlock but do not lock , the main bad thing is there is an unknown problem with the power steering leaking fluid . I drove the car up to highway speed and there was a front end shimmy . I don't know if it is from tie rods , ball joints or the PSP problem . The last inspection of the car was march 2010 if there was problems with the ball joints or tie rods I think it would have shown up then as there has only 1000 miles driven since then . It leaks power steering fluid and if it and the steering box is empty it may be the cause of the shimmy . I think replacing the pump with a new / junkyard / remanufactured pump will fix the problem . The headliner is been removed from the back section , second seat back see pic . In june of 2010 he had the car repainted and like an almost wall paper type of covering was applied . The paint is pretty good but in some places mainly the passenger side the covering is peeling . This car has basically sat unused since October of 2010 . We would start it just to run it from time to time . So there it is the original family truckster . It is located in Lehighton PA right by the turnpike exit 74 . Currently inspected until 4/11 I intend to get it checked to see if it needs anything , that hasn't been done yet . It can be delivered within a REASONABLE distance but pick up will be preferred .
