Up for auction today is our 1997 Honda Accord LX with leather interior. This was my wife's car that she drove daily until we had our second child and she wanted a bigger SUV. This car is in overall "fair" condition. The body is in decent shape for it's age, aside from some scratches, and a few small dents/dings, and some very minor rust on the passenger side rear door. This car does not have the typical "Honda Rust" around the rear wheel wells. The interior could use a good detailing, but it's in fairly good condition (the driver's power window is a little slow, and needs help going up and down sometimes, and one of the knobs is missing on the heater/blower controls). It has an after-market CD player installed. The PA inspection runs out at the end of this month, and it will need a little work before it passes again. The check engine light is on, but I didn't get it checked to see what's causing it. The engine burns some oil, which causes it to smoke from the exhaust, I'm assuming this is causing the engine light. There is an ABS brake light on, but this has been on for years (bad sensor), but the brakes work fine. Also, the passenger side axle is starting to click; and it'll probably need a new set of tires. All that said, this car still runs and drives fine, it just needs a new owner who can fix it up a bit to make it 100% again, I just don't have the time nor the ambition. I just looked up Kelly Blue Book value and selected "fair" condition, and it says the car is worth $3,000, but I'm starting the bidding at only $200.00 with NO RESERVE. The highest bidder will get this car. The car is located near Aliquippa Pa, just outside of Pittsburgh.
