This is the cleanest Lotus I have ever seen. I purchased this car two and a half years ago from a California owner and have enjoyed every minute of owning it. I'm about to become a dad and practically should not keep the car. It starts, runs and drives like new and like no other car I have ever driven. It is fast and handles incredibly but looks awesome just sitting still. I have alot of the original paperwork and even the brochure from when the car was new. I am negotiable but would like to see the car go to a good home.On Apr-10-11 at 08:40:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I apologize for not getting back to everyone sooner. I unexpectedly had to travel out of town just after posting the Lotus on ebay. To give you some background: I purchased the car on ebay about three years ago from the second owner in California. At that time I ran a carfax and had an inspector go out and take a look at the car. The carfax was clean and the inspector confirmed it was a solid car. I paid $44,000 for it. I had it shipped on an enclosed carrier to me here in New Jersey. As soon as I got in the car I loved it. Then I met my wife and I loved her even more. Nine months our son was born and the car has sat in my garage with the exception of a loop or two around the block every three weeks just to keep things together (both me and the car). Knowing that it was not practical to keep the car I listed it on Autotrader when my wife got pregnant. I received a ton of calls on it but mostly from online listing services that just wanted me to list it with them. I got tired of responding to the calls. Then on to ebay where the last winner of the auction wanted to pay me with certified funds. I agreed but asked for him to send me a copy of the check and his identification prior to coming out and picking up the car. Although he did send a $500.00 deposit through paypal, I haven't heard from him since asking for the copy of check and his ID. I'm not sure what to make of that. The car starts right up, doesn't smoke or leak anything. No current issues. I had the alternator replaced about two and a half years ago and it has a freesh battery. The previous owner had replaced the belts and the clutch in 2007. I have changed the oil and filter every 6 months.
