Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my Rust Free RARE Midnight Blue Metallic (1977 Only Color) 1977 Jeep CJ7 Renegade Levi Edition. It has 142,152 miles with the majority of them from being towed. It is a lifelong Arizona vehicle until I purchased it a few months back and is rust-free. This is a REAL Renegade and in nice original condition which runs and drives great. It is equipped with a 304 V8, 3-Speed Manual Transmission, Power Steering and Power Brakes and all other standard equipment that comes with the Renegade option. If you love blue this is the Jeep for you! Midnight Blue Metallic paint, Levi Blue Seats, Whitco Levi Blue Rollbar Pad and Factory Whitco Levi Blue Top. The Jeep is set-up to be towed with tow bar and all wiring from what I can tell. A very high quality set-up. Exterior: The body is in very nice original condition and is rust-free other than some light surface rust on the hood where that paint has baked off. The exterior paint from what I can tell is 100% original. I repainted the interior floors since the paint was worn off the front and went ahead and painted front and back. No rust repairs or filler used. The hood paint and decal on the hood are faded and worn due to the HOT Arizona sun. There are chips, scratches and dings as you would expect on an original vehicle this age. The top bolt hole on the front fenders where they attach to the grill, the metal is torn about an inch. There is dent right under the rear license plate. The undercarriage is nice as you can see with no undercoating just some very light surface rust. The windshield has some rock chips which can be repaired by any glass shop. The factory Whitco top with rare soft top hard door hardware looks to be in NOS condition. The windows are all clear and the top does not have any tears. There is one small frayed part on the edge which looks like it was caused by a mouse. This is a rare top since it is made so you can use hard doors also. Drivetrain: The Jeep has a very strong running 304 V8, 3-speed Manual Transmission and Dana 20 Transfer Case. The engine runs very strong and idles smooth with no problems and still has all the factory smog equipment. The transmission shifts smooth and has no problems along with the transfer case. The suspension is tight and the Jeep drives very well. The Power Brakes and Power Steering function properly. Check out the exhaust on this Jeep! It exits on the side but still has the catalytic converters and mufflers so it should pass smog requirements but is fairly loud but sounds great. The Jeep still has all the smog equipment. Interior: The interior has the Original Levi Blue denim low-back seats, Whitco rollbar pad and dash pad. The seats are in excellent condition with no tears or split seams. The driver's seat does have some missing stitching. The dash pad is perfect other than a small spot that looks like a cigarette burn. The original console is missing. The gauges all work other than the after-market tachometer. The dash has not been cut for a non correct size radio but does have an additional gauge installed (Temperature). It does have a pretty neat after-market sound system. The sound system consists of a AM/FM Cassette stereo, Amplifier below dash and custom mounted Equalizer in the glove box. The glove box still has storage space and the custom mount uses the factory mounting holes that would have been used for the glove box liner. The speakers are weak and I removed the rear speakers that were mounted behind the seats but will be included. They are in custom wood boxes that have deteriorated over time and will need to be rebuilt. I repainted the interior floors since the paint on the front floorboards was very worn so I did them all. No rust repairs were needed or done. Just primed and painted. Luckily it is a Arizona Jeep so there was no more than light surface rust on the bare spots and the carpet must have been removed early on. Wheels: The Renegade still has the original wheels with original paint and red pinstripe. They look very nice with no damage. It has a matching set of four Bridgestone Dueler Mud-Terrain 32X11.5X15 tires with approximately 85-90% tread. They do have some cracking due to age. The spare looks old and worn but does hold air. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. You are encouraged and welcomed to inspect the Jeep by appointment prior to auction close. Mark (913)909-1186. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close and payment in full within 7 days of auction close. The Jeep has a clear open title. The vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction close unless other arrangements have been agreed upon between buyer and seller prior to auction close. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will cooperate with buyer and shipper regarding vehicle pick-up.
