This land boat is powered by a super healthy 460 ci engine with a 4 barrell carburetor. I purchashed the wagon from the daugther of the original owner who was not interested in investing any money on making the car road worthy. Although the registration is up to date this wagon needed a good tune up, a couple of fresh tanks of gasoline and an oil change. I also put new spark plugs, I added an electric fuel pump, new battery and I put a set of 4 western chrome wire wheels with brand new tires. The winning bidder can decide whether to have the stock 15 wheels or the wire wheels I put on. Both sets have brand new tires. Finally this wagon runs as it should and with about 63K ORIGINAL MILES it is a pleasure to hear it roar. This would be an easy restoration wagon and you can drive it as you restore it also because this LTD is extremely solid a TOTALLY RUST FREE. The interior is still in pretty good condition with not that many rips. By law this car can seat up to 8 people, 3 in the front 3 in the back and 2 more side/front facing in the very back. All of the seats in the back are still in very good condition. All windows go nicely up and down including the tailgate windows which can be electronically controlled from the front dash and works perfectly. The brakes work really well and it has front disc brakes in the front and drums in the back. Also this car was used to tow a large airstream so it has that brake sync feature. I was surprised to see that this wagon is extremely well built, It has a lot in common with a truck family rather than a regular car. The leaf springs in the rear are massive and extremely strong. I thought that the wheels bolt pattern would have been the regular Ford 5 lugs on 4.5 and I was wrong, this wagon has 5 lugs on 5 bolt pattern. The body outside is straight with only a few side dings but nothing major. All of the lights work as they should. The A/C seems that could be working again with a recharge. I am sure it still uses the old ac fluid. The radio works fine although the 8 track cassette does not. The carpet inside is still in good condition although discolored and dirty in some areas. The dome light lens is gone due to age, they usually all do after some time. Also this car retains its original CALIFORNIA BLUE/YELLOW PLATES. Local inspection and test drive is very welcome. If the winner needs a little more time I would grant that although If not picked up by the time requested I'd have to charge $25 per week storage fee the following week after the 14 days grace period. This is primarily to encourage the buyer to have the car picked up as soon as possible or I would end up with my entire lot packed with vehicles.
