Vehicle Detail

**PLEASE NOTE**: I REQUIRE IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL ON THIS VEHICLE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION.1972 Lincoln Continental MARK IV V8 460 engine. Runs and drives well. Very powerful engine, Automatic transmission with Full Power features. All brakes and lights work . Appears to be well cared for by the previous owner. Definitely an attention getter and a model that is not seen too much on the road. This vehicle is SMOG EXEMPT in CA. BODY: Body is nice and straight for the most part. Original color which is the Copper Brown, with Brown interior. And it looks like the paint was re-coated sometime in the past. Paint is still in good condition, although I would give the hood a nice polish to bring out more of the luster. No accidents or major dents that I am aware of or can see. All lights work and the hide-away headlights do open and close nicely. Vinyl top is there although it does need replacing as both side seams are split and below the rear window its coming off. Chrome bumpers are in great shape and strong. Does have some after-market wheels in place of the originals. Has a new battery. Engine area wash power washed and detailed. INTERIOR: The interior has been kept up pretty well and I believe that the seats have been re-done because they are in such good shape with only a tiny seam rip in one seat. The dash does have a larger and smaller crack, but is covered in a form fitting dash mat. Console is good and all gauges are intact and working. Radio has bee upgraded to a Cassette model and is working (along with some Realistic rear speakers). Door panels are very nice with only the driver's side showing some cracks. Plush Brown Carpet is all intact and clean for the most part, with no rips. Headliner is intact as is rear panels and shelf. Power seats and window work well. FLAWS: As mentioned above the vinyl top needs work. The body has some scratches on driver's side, and on the pas. side has a long scrape on rear fender. The hood is missing the front emblem, and also has an area that is cracking (could be due to underneath rust) -see pic. Also, there are a number of stick-on reflectors that have been added by previous owner. Although this is a mostly rust free car, I did find two spots on the body with rust; underneath the trunk lid lip, and at the pas. corner of the rear window (see close-up pic) where there is an actual hole. Driver's exterior door handle feels loose (like return spring is not working- but opens door fine). Tranny pan is leaking a little bit. Comes with FULL SIZE tire and Jack, no tools. Registration is expired from Dec. 2009 and owes $89 at the DMV. Overall a nice complete car, great example for this year and model. Great investment. This car will increase in value over the years. ********** PAYMENT TERMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: ********** I accept: C.O.D if you are local, m.o., cashier's check, personal check (allow to clear). Sorry, No Paypal at this time for payment, only for $200 deposit . I might be able to do paypal for full payment, but please contact me first. Please contact me within 24 hours, Deposit due in 2 days . Full amount of vehicle is due in 7 days. Please pick up or ship car within 1 week of auction's end. If you are local, and can see the car in person, I encourage you to come out and see it for yourself. Photos can only show you so much. Don't come out to "see" the car once you have won the auction to see if you LIKE the car. Once the auction ends and you are the high bidder, you are the legal owner. (check the ebay rules). If you are the high bidder, and for whatever reason do not get the car, you forfeit your $200 deposit. I don't know the previous history on this car, just what I know personally. I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, and any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels". Car was bought at a Benefit sale and title is in the name of the donor , But it's signed by them, and I have the bill of sales that go with it. IF OUT OF STATE: Check with your local DMV (before bidding) if this is OK. If your state requires a title in the seller's name (me), then please don't bid. (unless of course you have someone here in CA to title it for you). Please consider this before bidding, it is YOUR responsibility to check. Please bid responsibly, this is a binding contract. By placing a bid or clicking on the Buy-it-now option, you are agreeing to all terms. I reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction early. If you need more pics, please let me know which area. Buyer is responsible for the shipping and transporting of car. CHECK YOUR LOCAL YELLOW PAGES OR ONLINE FOR CAR SHIPPERS OR AUTO TRANSPORTERS FOR THEIR PRICING FROM ZIP 91606. This car is totally drivable, but you assume full responsibility if you want to drive her a long distance. I am selling it as is. These cars are bought at a local benefit sale where the proceeds go to good causes. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate there "old" one for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out. I try to be as honest as possible about these cars and list what I know, but I'm not a mechanic or body repair person. I have done this for years and everyone has been happy with the cars. I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK, mostly from cars on ebay. If you really need to call me, go ahead, but I've described it as best as I can: 818-272-1112 God bless and hope you love your car purchase. **NOTE** If you have "0" Feedback, please don't bid, I've had too many flakes in the past.
