This is an old project I've had, that I just lost interest in. It is a 1987 Suzuki Samurai with a spring over axle lift and 35 inch pro comp tires on 17" wheels. It is a wheeling machine and virtually unstoppable in the woods. The front axle is a stock samurai with a sidekick center section and 5.13 gear. It has a sky-manufacturing dropped drag link and mile marker hubs. I rebuilt the outer knuckle and put new seals and wipers in. The t-case is stock, never been split. The rear axle is a hybrid sidekick center section with samurai axles. It is geared 5.13 and has a mini spool. The housing was built by sky-manufacturing. The wheels are Cragar soft 8's and the tires are Pro-comp X-Terrains 35x12.50r 17's. I used 2" wheel spacers in the front and 1.5's in the rear. Then I cut very liberally with a sawzall on the fenders so they wouldn't rub. The engine is a stock 1.3 and it has a 5 speed. It is geared perfect I didn't even have to mess with speedometer and it's spot on. The upholstery isn't pretty but it's there. The seats are torn and the tops ok but the rear window zipper is shot. A new top is less than $200. It runs pretty good. I drove it back and forth to work last summer. I'd drive it now but I took the insurance off because I have too many vehicles. I wouldn't recommend driving long distances because it is an off road vehicle with big tires and a tiny engine. It's not exactly built for comfort. I don't know if the air works, it is all there but the heater cables are froze up. The heat works but I've just got a toggle switch on the fan to run it. The lights all work and the registration is current.
