For sale 1970 Ford Mustang, original numbers matching 302 5.0 v8, original 3 speed manual transmission. 144500 original miles, Air conditioning, front disc brakes, four core radiator, electric fan with adjustable thermostat control and an override switch in the driver compartment. This has the original motor craft 2 barrel carburetor, works great. The paint was originally grabber orange with white side decals, it is now primer gray. (in other words, yes it needs to be painted). This has manual brakes, factory manual steering. I originally purchased this car from my uncle over 18 years ago. The heads were rebuilt about 30k miles ago. The clutch was replaced 44k miles ago, back in 1996. I installed an aftermarket tachometer, and aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauges. These were connected along with the original gauges so that they both work. I recently replaced the instrument cluster voltage regulator with an electronic one. This has an aftermarket center console installed that has an arm rest and cup holders.I put brand new 14" 195 75 tires on this about 16 months ago, there are around 400 miles on these tires. This car starts right up and runs great, it is definitely road worthy to drive wherever you need to go. I also recently replaced the gas tank with a new one that has a drain plug, along with a new fuel pump. This has an aftermarket louver over the rear windshield that i installed back in 1999. In 1996 i replaced the upper control arms and tie rod ends. I also had a new headliner installed along with new rear windshield rubber. The rear exhaust valance has been replaced recently. The front seats are black comfort weave. The dual exhaust was replaced on this in 2000, i has some surface rust on it, but other than that, it is still in great condition. The heater core was replaced back in 2000 too, the heat works great. The AC works on this but it is low on freon. The oil was recently changed at 143k miles. When i got this car, it only had 98k miles on it, since then i have put 47k miles in the 15 years that i have owned it. As with any car this old, there are some problems which i am listing now: There are rear speakers installed in the interior rear seat panels. The driver wiper arm has a screw in it that keeps it attached, it works fine. The wiper switch broke, so i wired an override switch that is attached to the aftermarket console. I am including a replacement wiper switch to restore it back to original. The front windshield has a crack down the middle of it. It is on the passenger side and doesn't really interfere with visibility. The interior driver door handle has a couple of splits in it. You can order brand new ones in any Mustang parts catalog. To turn the lights on the aftermarket tach and gauges, i have a switch wired to the steering column. The front passenger marker light has a crack in it, i am including a replacement lens. There are so many things that i have repaired and/or replaced in the 18 years that i have had this, that i can't even recall everything right now. But i do know that it runs great and goes straight down the road. If you are planning on driving this home, i would feel confident driving it anywhere that you need to go. Very recently i had the radiator flushed, and carburetor rebuilt along with new points installed. If you have any questions, or want to see more pictures, please email me and let me know.
