The car for sale is a 1955 Studebaker Commander, 4 Door Sedan. Best description would be that it is a survivor. Car has original paint, interior and has never been restored. At present it has just over 41,000 original miles. It is a late series Ultra Vista with a wrap around windshield. It is equipped with a V8 Engine and standard transmission. Chrome and stainless are in excellent condition. The car has the original upholstry on the seats and the interior is in excellent condition but could use a new headliner. The floor pans are excellent as is the floor of the trunk. There is a small amount of rust beginning to show on the bottom of the front fenders, as shown in the pictures. This car lived its life in Montana until July of 2009 when I purchased it from what we believe is the 3rd owner. I flew to Billings, Montana and purchased the car and drove it back to Tybee Island, Georgia with no difficulty at all in the summer of 2009. At that time the car had 37,500 original miles on it. It now has 41,080 original miles on it. The car is best described as a vehicle that you would enjoy driving as I have done. It is reliable and fun to drive. The body on this vehicle is in unbelievable condition to be 56 years old. After the auction has ended a non refundable $500.00 deposit will be required will the balance due in 7 days.
