Vehicle Detail
1984 CHEVY SILVERADO "Sequoia Special" 3/4 ton long bed pick/up truck with a 5.7 350 V8. Has the original Midnight black paint, not brand new anymore but it's original. I have put in new plugs, new wires, new master cylinder, new brake lines, new brakes which stop on a dime, the rear right wheel cylinder was leaking So I replaced it.. New shocks and a new Transmission ( 700R4 ).. Tranny was redone in July 2010 and has 5,000 miles on it ( with receipts ) and shifts smooth as silk !! It has a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty So yes it's still under warranty... I paid over $1,100 ... The carburetor was completely rebuilt on 10/07/09 by Guzman Carburetors in Los Angeles.. This truck is solid and runs flawlessly.. The power steering is great, power windows and locks work, the A/C still works... blows cold but doesnt crank out of the center vents, they need to be adjusted. There are Zero leaks in this thing, dry as can be underneath... .. The truck has factory cruise control but it no longer works. I bought the truck last year before I had the trans replaced and these were the wheels and tires already on it, Eagle alloys with 16.5" tires, the tires are still going but will probably have to be replaced at some point in the near future. I bought this to pull my boat but sold the boat so have no need for it anymore, it will pull anything anywhere !! I'll leave the bar with the 2 in. ball in the truck as I'll have no use for it... I also have the 4 original 16" stock wheels plus an extra one as the spare, the spare tire has excellent tread. So you'll get both sets of wheels. The rear slider window works well and the latch works as it should. There is some minimal rust spots that are all pictured for you to view, the body and frame are totally solid !!! The rear passenger side quarter panel was repaired as pictured, no bondo that i could see. I put a magnet all over the work area and it stuck no problem. The work done was pretty smooth but not painted,, The original owner had backed into his boat trailer and had it fixed. The inside of the bed still looks good and is rust free top and bottom. As far as the trucks frame and body go, this beast is solid !!! The original bumpers are still in excellent overall condition... Now to the interior, drivers side of the bench seat is shotty so I put a cover over it... Very common in the Chevy's... The carpet is original and definately not perfect... Dash has some cracks... Interior lights still work, the clock still works, speedometer and guages all work... The steering wheel is original and is a tilt wheel, the stereo is a detachable face cassette and works fine.... There are 2- 20 gallon fuel tanks and both distribute gas,,, I only fill up the drivers side though... Bottom line this a hell of a solid truck that I would drive anywhere at anytime.. Perfect for restoration since mechanically it's great or as a daily driver with no problems.. If you were to ask me about the truck making a drive somewhere, my answer would be YES !! I'd drive from here to Northern Maine right now hassle free...... Any questions you have just ask and I'll answer as honestly as possible, thanks again..
