Vehicle Detail
1969 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible: NEW PHOTOS 3/24/2011 of undercarriage and trunk. No rust on floor or trunk panels. Only small areas of very light surface rust anywhere on frame. I got this car nine years ago and completely rebuilt it for myself, spending a hell of a lot of time and money in the process. But a huge tax bill came and I have to sell it and some other prized possessions. Every single thing on it is new, except for the top and interior which are still in great shape (60K original miles). I took off the side molding (rubber door-ding strip), and now the car looks just like a GTO, a Big GTO. I had the 428 motor rebuilt by Colorado Custom Cylinder Heads and have only put about 3000 miles on it. I just recently put a set of newly rebuilt 6X-4 96 cc big valve heads on it which are perfect for 428's so that it can well on run pump gas with no heating problems. It has long-branch headers on it and big, 2 ½ inch aluminized exhaust system that sounds and runs fierce. It handles like a dream and runs like a bat out of hell, and will very much surprise a new BMW or other classic cars. I had the rear end and steering unit rebuilt and replaced the U joints. The Rally II wheels and redline tires are new and the brakes are fresh. Every single front end part is new as are all four suspension springs and shocks. Door and trunk weather stripping is new. AC is not hooked up. This car really gets a lot of attention, and frankly I think that the ‘69 Bonneville is the sexiest car Pontiac ever built. I don't have a reserve and won't sell it before the end of the auction.
