2004 Mazda RX-8 116k miles 1.3 Rotary Engine 4 Speed Automatic with Paddle Shifters Up for grabs is a real nice 2004 Mazda RX-8. This was my wife's daily driver but we currently have 5 vehicles and combined with the fact that we are expecting our second child and we just built a new house we need to cut back on some vehicles. The car has 116k miles and has the 1.3 Renesis rotary engine with 4 speed automatic and paddle shifters. It has a cd player, rear spoiler, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, rear defrost, and more I can't think of at the moment. There are no mechanical issues at all with the car and it has never been smoked in. I am a mechanic by profession and it has always been regularly serviced. I just did a tune up 3k miles ago that included a new battery (I have the receipt for the 3 year warranty) and all new coil packs, spark plugs, and plug wires. I also plugged my OBD II code reader into ther car and it showed no codes or faults. The car just recently passed emissions with flying colors and no issues of any kind. There are no dents or rust on the car. It does have some rock chips and scratches but nothing excessive for a 7 year old vehicle and nothing that shouldn't buff out. I am listing this much lower than blue book value with no reserve but if you want a perfect car go drop $40,000 for a new one. I've included pictures of any flaws. In addition to the 18" wheels on the car it will be sold with the factory five spoke wheels and tires with about 75% tread on them. It also includes a spare tire which is an option on the RX-8. The tires that are on it also have about 75% tread. The car has a K&N Typhoon cold air intake, carbon fiber dash trim, headlight eyelids, diamond plate floormats, and tinted windows. There are really only two things that I could come up with that could be issues. The first is that the low tire pressure light on the dash stays on due to the aftermarket wheels and tires. If you put the factory wheels back on it will correct itself. The second is when I bought the car I thought it may have an exhaust leak because it's some what noisy under acceleration. I took it to the Mazda dealership to have it checked out but they said they could find no leak. They said it sounds like a normal rotary engine and I shouldn't expect it to be as quiet as a normal piston engine. That was three years ago and it still sounds the same as when I bought it so they must've been right but I just wanted to disclose that in case anybody out there isn't familiar with rotaries. There will be a $500 deposit due via paypal within 24 hours of auction close with the remainder to be paid via bank cashier's check, loan check, or cash at time of pickup. No personal checks. After 10 years and 4000 transactions on ebay I have been scammed more times than I can count so as a result the deposit must be paid within 24 hours and the remainder must be paid within 10 days or I will relist the car. I can store the car for up to a month if you can't make it out for a while to pick it up but the car will still need to be paid for within 10 days. If you are paying with a loan check and want to include the entire amount on the loan that is fine but you'll still need to pay the deposit and I'll be glad to refund the deposit after you've made payment in full with the loan check. The title is clear and in hand with no leins. Everybody is encouraged to come look at the car in person.
