Purchased car locally in 1996, it had been sitting in a driveway for several years. Started 3 year frame-on restoration in1998 and registered in 2001. Have driven the car only 500 miles per year since then. All steel body, with no body filler. Rear quarterpanels were replaced, otherwise all body sheet metal is original. Carpet, headliner, front seat covers, and rear package tray have been replaced; seatbelts, console, and rear seat are original. Dashboard has two small cracks, as shown in pictures. New windshield, all other glass is original. All rubber molding around doors, windows and trunk has been replaced. Only 4,678 miles on engine, trans, wheelbearings, brakes, rotors, exhaust, shocks, ball joints, and univeral joints. All gauges work including hood tachometer. Oil and temp gauges have been added, but mounted under the dash with AM-FM cassette player. NO holes have been cut into the dash. Factory AM radio might work, but is not connected. Speedometer lens is cloudy and should be replaced. The 400 ci engine starts every time, and is very reliable. New oil and GM additive in posi rear, believe gears are 3.50:1 and the car will cruise all day at 65 mph, however, the engine will be spinning at 3000 rpm...The TH400 trans has been rebuilt with all new clutches, with the addition of a shift kit for faster shifts. No problem spinning both rear tires. Wheels are 15" replacement Rally II from Wheel Vintiques. Original 14" wheels and trim rings are included. Have ALL receipts going back to 1977. Car was originally purchased from Spaar Pontiac and to the best of my knowledge, has always been in the local area. I have a Pa. Classic Car plate, and a Pa. state inspection sticker good until July. Also have a copy of the original Dealer Invoice sent to me by Pontiac Historical Services.
