I'm selling some of my toys that just set in the garage and never get driven. This 78 Jeep Renegade is the most rock solid and rust free I have ever seen. I have included pictures of the tub without the carpet so you can see for yourself. There's not even a pinhole. All of the floor braces are in tact as they were since new. It was repainted about six years ago and very nicely done. According to the previous owner it was rust free at that time also. The paint is very nice and shiney. You wouldn't know it is six years old. I have been all over this Jeep with a magnet and have no reason to doubt that this Jeep has never had any rust. It sat inside all of it's life. It has been upgraded to the T-176 4 speed and shifts and drives as good as it looks. Naturally, a new clutch, pressur plate and throw-out bearing were all replaced at that time. The engine is untouched other than general maintenance. It has the original 304 V8, power steering, headers and side exhaust. It sounds very good. It has new tires, brakes, shocks, radiator, tune-up, rebuilt 2 barrel carb, slight 3" lift, Warn lockouts and the wheels are almost new and showing very little wear. I looked at many, many Jeeps when I bought this one. They were over rated and described as restored. After driving many, many miles I found that their idea of restored and mine were two very different things. This Jeep is not restored, patched or pieced together. It is very, very nice without any known issues. I have driven it quite alot and it never disappointed me. It's a great little CJ5 that has been well taken care of. If you are in the market for one of these, give this one a good look. I don't think you'll find a better one. The Jeep comes with a bikini top as well. The top that's on it doesn't really show any wear, but the windows are beginning to haze a bit. It's still a nice top, but it's not new. Look at my feedback and bid with confidence. Remember, I am open to offers and I might consider as partial trade a Ford Ranger or S-10 as well. I need a small truck so if you have a decent little truck we might be able to work something out. I'm near St. Louis, MO so shipping could be an issue if you're a long distance from me. I have two Chevy SS trucks and they are not the greatest on gas mileage so my plan is to sell one of those and the jeep and replace them with a small truck. I'm not too concerned about miles as long as it runs good. If you have what I need give me a call or just make an offer on the Jeep. Thanks.
