Vehicle Detail
This car has been an ongoing restoration project (as most of our hotrods become) so I will do my best to describe the condition of everything. Let's start with the driveline.. The motor is a freshly rebuilt 455.. This motor has about 2,500 miles on it (just barely broke in) and runs extremely strong.. Pulls very very hard through all four gears. Which brings us to the transmission, which is a saginaw four speed manual box. The tranny has been gone through and comes with a new clutch and Hurst Shifter to help throw you around. The exterior of the car has also been updated (as you can see in the pictures). The rear quarters were replaced with full replacement quarter panels (not the cheap half skins). The trunk was also replaced due to two small pin holes developing (this car is solid). The hood is new and features an original Pontiac Tach mounted in drivers view. The door handles are smoothly shaved and come with a remote to open them that actually works... No reaching in open windows on this one. The entire body of the car was sanded down, block sanded straight, sprayed with a beautiful blue that appears very dark at night and brightens up during the day. The interior has been all cleaned up and is in driver quality. The carpet has been replaced with a new one. The headliner has also been replaced. The rear seats are in almost new condition as well as the passenger side. The drivers side looks good, but has a rip in the bottom. The dashboard has a couple of small cracks in it and could use replacement. The front windshield has a small crack on the drivers side and could use to be fixed. The front grill surround has a small chip in the paint (about 1"x1") from where a 68 charger "bumped" into me at a car show. There is no dent as this is a plastic piece, but it could use the paint touched up. This is an extremely fast and fun car to drive and will be a great cruiser for someone this spring. This one could very easily be perfect.. I have set the reserve price very low so I can get on to the next project.. Please don't bid if you can't pay. Buys with no feedback must message first or their bid will be cancelled. Deposit of $1,000 due 48 hours after end of auction.. Good luck and happy bidding!! On Mar-20-11 at 14:20:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Just so everyone knows this car is a clone. I read the auction over and realized I'd forgot to write that.. It is originally a LeMans car, but has been completely redone as a GTO. It does have a lot of brand new sheet metal and a rebuilt motor and trans. Rear and has ladder bars to keep it straight. New trunk floor, both rear quarters, new wheel weels, new hood, new rear window channel, new package tray. There is no rust on this car. It has has been very well maintained since complete restoration. You will not be disappointed. Good luck..
